  In Your opinion, what percentage of the ACTIVE 7 Million Jehovah's witnesses will obey prohibitions on blood transfusions?

  i have heard on this site, and others that some doctors say many "jehovahs witnesses" actually accept blood transfusions for themselves and family when the chip are down.

  i have been told by hospital laison members (relatives) that the reason for the "bedside elder vigil" is actually to keep patients and family members from "weakening".

  now i know a lot of people identify themselves as jws on old medical charts and such (according to pew research and personal experiance...so i am simply interested in opinions on active current jws.. my personal feeling is 2/3 to 75% would allow themselves or family members to die.

  I have been told by several surgeons and Doctors that 75% of JW's DO accept blood when it comes down to the wire.Probably different if the vultures are at the bedside,but even then,when they sign the release,they could be alone...Sad,isnt it? That these old disgusting men have nothing better to do than intimidate ill folks who just want to get better...grrrrrr

  ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.

  waaaaay back when these words were written an embarassing awareness of delay was in the air among christians.. shortly after jesus was executed the story was circulated that he arose from the dead and was witnessed by a great many people.. but, jesus (it was said) went up to his father in heaven and would soon return.. time passed.. more time passed.. ....and still more time passed without jesus coming back.. the idea that deliverance was "near" began to make believers squirm with discomfort.. instead of standing around waiting, enduring persecution and praying constantly for reward....a new task emerged for christians to take.

  "No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family." - Awake, July 2009, p. 29,......Yep,this is one ofthe top 5.That and warnings about "false gods and words of men"...And how they mock hindus for the starving/free running cow thing,but dubs let their own die in hospitals w/the blood thing...gah...its all so putrid...

  I can't bring myself to say the phrase "the Truth" anymore....

  i used to be able to say the term "the truth" with no issue.

  that was whether i was speaking to jw's or not.

  now all i can say is the "witnesses"(catching myself before saying 'witlesses').

  the end before i left this god forsaken organization.

  i had expected to tell a lot on these boards about what i witnessed in this organization...i'm tentative because for one i don't think a lot of people would even believe me...and because i don't want to put all this personal stuff out on front street.

  but one thing i had to say because it's just to great, and probably won't be believed either..... before i left, about 8 months ago.....i met with the group to go out in field service on a saturday.

  i cannot seem to shake the visual image i have from about 5 days ago.

  i went over to my mom's house, and apparently she didn't mention it to my younger sister (who lives in their downstairs apartment).

  she and her baby were visiting with my mom, and when she saw me walking up the side walk, she grabbed her toddler up in her arms and i saw her hauling ass down the stairs....the toddler didn't understand why she was just snatched up and hauled away and started screaming.

  I dont know.My sister gets a lot of sympathy and "love bombing" because she has an apostate df'd sister.A lot.If she werent such a dumb head,I mcould almost see her at an assembly,Talking to the crowd,about the persecution inflicted upon her by her evil sister.Yep,she gets soe mileage out of that one...lol

  a few years ago my 21 yr old firstborn and only son died in an accident.

  i was an active jw at the time.

  in fact , i was at the meeting when it happened.

  My dad actually,in the last few years of his life.Several times he told me about how he and his dead brothers and dead mother,all having been resurrected,of course, will sit around in the new world,talking,laughing and enjoying anothers company,and gramma will ask about me,and he will have to tell her that I denied god,and how sad he would be ,even tho it would be wrong to miss me.{I still had time to change!!!}He many times told me this story and how hard it would be for him..How"gramma took care of me as a child,{when I still loved Jehovah}and she wouldnt understand...Gah,I hated that.I loved my dad,and miss him,but do not miss the Jw BS..Nope,Not at all....

  i beginning to think that this would be a good way of thinking, a totally righteous being would not let all the shit that is happenning to people prevail, this being cannot have the best interests of man as his first priority, it's all about ego and no matter how the human familty suffers, he hates pretty much everyone, as the tv show says, your fired, let's get a better god, one who at least gives everyone a chance!!.

  i welcome comments from god apologists, to at least have an argument as to why they put they're faith in someone that does'nt give a shit about them!.
