Since Leaving the JW's - Have you Changed your Medical Contact Person ?
by flipper inin case of a really serious medical emergency- it's something to seriously consider.
otherwise former aquaintances like jw elders in your former congregations or allegedly well meaning jw relatives who may have been listed by you as your emergency contacts might try running interference regarding the medical treatment you receive !
i finally changed my emergency medical contacts a few years ago legally to my non-witness wife, my non-witness mother in law, and my non-witness adult son.

Thanks Flipper!!!! I did this IN the hospital last week.Even tho I have POA and Guardianship,the dubs still had their paperwork w/the little drawing of the bag of blood with an x thru it...Im so glad that you brought this to everyones atention..Thanks for your call and for your support. btw,and hospital social worker can give you the blank forms to fill out and they only have to be signed by 2 witnesses{no,not THAT kind,lol}and they are legal.Then they will supercede all previous contacts..Its easy!

I have some new friends,because of JWN.Not just cyber,but real people that I care about now..
by aquagirl inthey called me tonight when i was feeling so bad with all of the stuff w/my mum and wanting to leave this planet and all.out of the blue.mr.and mrs f.,thankyou.if you only knew how timely and how much that meant...i still cant believe it.i care about these people and they care about me.so maybe thats the only good thing about being raised a diu.to leave,yadayadayada,and then meet folks like mr and mrs f.thank you from the bottom of this dark cold pit that has started to become my heart and soul.you sent down some lotion.in a basket....love you both.really.and thanks......;} peace out,my friends,i wil be ther ein tahoe ths july.i want to clap my eyes of people who have meant so much to me...everyone,come to tahoe this year!!!!!!please!!

Thankful for finding this site & all of you!!!
by discreetslave inat this time last year i was in another deep depression feeling alone & hopeless despite being surrounded by people who said they cared and belonging to a religion that said it could offer mankind the only real hope in life.
it's ironic that i now have more online friends than physical friendships, am no longer a part of that religion & i feel happier than i have in many years.
i'm thankful to have found this website & feeling validated.
