over the past few years i have been studying american politics and have enjoyed learning perspectives from different ideologies.
i personally lean towards conservative values when it comes to creating legislature, however i am socially liberal.

Affidavit for a court custody battle with a JW mom/Non JW dad
by Billzfan23 inwhat kind of things would you put in an affidavit to the court for a custody hearing - list them out in this thread for me so that i can disperse each point across multiple pages, making a strong case.
i will start:.
blood transfusions: - jw children are refused blood transfusions that could save their lives.. how about school sports, flag salute, military service, discouraging college education, keeping "seperate from the world", armageddon teachings, etc.. help we fill in a little wordy description and elaborate on each point in this post - it would be very much appreciated!.

Ways the Society Could Reduce the Cash Needed in the Condice Conti Case
by RubaDub inperhaps others have ideas, but here is a way the society could avoid the "immediate irreparable harm and hardship" as they claim in the condice conti attorneys:.
--> allow the society to use the patterson property instead of cash for the surety bond (as they request) in exchange for 25 year naming rights to the patterson complex.. perhaps something like "the condice conti christian education center of patterson" ... or something similar.. any other ideas ?.

Shunning non-JWs and shunning in general
by jws inoften the topic of shunning comes up on this forum, how bad it is, unloving, etc.. my question is this.
even if you think disfellowshipping is bad, have you ever cut off ties and/or avoided anyone?
maybe not to the level of jws, but do you just try to avoid talking to some people or try to be in another part of the room at social events?

Well,if you do it yourself,its way more personal.Like if I shunned someone from MY life for say,spreading untrue stuff about me,I wouldnt demand that everyone associated with me shun them as well.Its ridiculous,the JW's dont even know WHY one was disfellowshipped and they treat you like a poisonous snake.Absurd,and as far a I am concerned,the dubs are getting exactly what they deserve,right now.
