Need Some Advice...Thanks...
by aquagirl ini am the primary companion and caregiver of my elderly parents,78 and 80..i am also disfellowshipped.i was baptised 2 months after i turned 12.got df'd at 31...now that my parents are really starting to need me,and i am enjoying them as people,the jws are starting the crap about them not being able to associate w/me again..its really hard to have an intelligent discussion w/a group of people whos basic recourse is "bcz the bible tells me so"...but i really want to be able to care for and enjoy my parents during these final few years that they have left..my father is stepping down as an elder bcz of the turmoil,and also cause hes just getting too old to want to deal w/it..but thats not enough for the dubs...they want total separation...anyone have any advice or tools that i might be able to use?
i know,i know,its awfully tempting to just cheerfully suggest that they kiss my butt,but this is a real issue..i have to find a smart creative way to deal w/it..i know that some of you out there are smart and creative and have dealt w/issues such as this..i need to hear from ya...like ,could i get my baptism,{at 12 yrs old] annulled?
do the dubs honor legal documents?

Thats a good idea,thanks...Will they even talk to me,seeing that I am disfellowshipped?Like I know that some folks say that they are contacted regularly and encouraged to rejoin,but I have never been contacted.

Thanks in advance for any help.If this dosent work,and do not get to associate w/my parents again bcz the cult forces them,Im going to go to the local paper and offer them an exclusive interview about the issue..I think that people need to know what a terrible and dangerous cult the Jehovahs Witlesses are..Maybe ill even take it further..They have been getting away w/this crap for a long time,and taking advantage of older vulnerable people seems to be a speciality of theirs...Any ideas?...

i hope you can understand.. several years ago, while married and an active dub, i had a one night stand.
i was mortified at what i had done because this had happened before and i had told my wife.

if i retired from military as pharmacist, before becoming a witness and receive pension every month + benefits, is it contradictory with witnesses not being part of military?.
should i give up my pension to be in tune and harmony with our beliefs?.

pubsinger,i agree.sounds like a troll to me too.....first of all a jw would not be looking at or seeking advice from a board such as this...and to be so nasty to the first one to offer advice,tsk tsk..,i agree,go ask one of your elders,they will be only too happy to tell you which way to bleat.

Is it possible to be declined credit for having credit that is too good?
by Elsewhere inthe other day i was making substantial purchase and wanted to take advantage of the advertised "12 months no interest" deal.
i have excellent credit, however my application was denied.
the girl at the checkout couldn't tell me why, only that it was denied.

i worked as a credit analyst for 6 years for a huge credit card firm,and it sounds to me like there was an error made in your ss number.if you have a good credit score,and no bankruptcys or late pays,most creditors will be screaming for your buisness. just cause you havent messed up on your credit in the past is no reason to believe you might not in the future on some joyful occasion..thats the way the cc companies think.as long as you can steam up a mirror,there is a potential to make some money off of you....sounds like you ar handling things well tho,keep it up!!!!

tyrone,get up a few times,go into the bathroom..cough alot then flush...do this several times..stagger outta bed and say that you are dying of thurst and are feeling very dehydrated..dihareaah or however you spellit.its always been an easy way out..an old teenage jw secret for years.for girls it was menstral cramps..good luck,my friend,hope you get to sleep in an not have to go and spend t hours listening to bungholes talking about bungholey things....ill burn one for ya....
