Hey Sandy -
I've made contact with a couple of my teachers by contacting the school directly.
My brother and I together met up with one back in New Jersey about 3 years ago. He met us for lunch and told us sooo many good stories.
He was my teacher 2 years after my parents started studying. 3 years later, my brother had him. We were the only witness kids in the entire town. I suspected back then that there was animosity towards us but could not confirm it. This teacher named names of the ones who were outspoken in their dislike of witnesses in his school and in the junior/senior high school.
He even told me that the high school principal almost refused to let me participate in graduation exercises because I did not salute the flag and put hand over heart during the national anthem.
This teacher knew we loved him. Many other students have contacted him over the years, too.
Try the school. It's worth a try.
Good luck.

when word came down that a smurf jumped up in the middle of a meeting, yelled 'i've had enough of this shit!
' and stormed out, i was probably 9 years old.
at the time i had a smurf record.

I LOVE this idea. You'll have to show us when it's done.
I went to the UK in '78 and had not yet seen/heard of Smurfs. I thought they were cute and come home with a few smurf toys and 2 records for my little brother. When I started hearing rumors about them being demonic, I just didn't believe it. I hid the records and still have them! (45's) <= should be a 'blue' smug smilie...

you`ve just come down with a bad cold or you`ve got a terrible case of the flu..maybe you`ve been partying all night.you`ve just woken up.you feel like the cat crapped in your mouth and pulled your eye lids over your chin to bury it..lol!
!..what foods do you enjoy to comfort you, when your not feeling well?...outlaw
Depends on what I'm trying to comfort...
Head/chest cold: Wor-Won-Ton Soup. I get a quart from the local Chinese restaurant and it will last me a couple of meals.
Hangover or starting to get a cold: Pozole from a local vendor. A friend at work turned me on to this earlier this year. It worked well.
Poor Me: Mac 'n' Cheese or Spaghetti & Spicy Sausage. Lasagne works, too.
Pick-Me-Up Snack (just extra comfort when everything else is going well, too): Peanut Butter Apple. Yum!

i woke up this morning and made coffee and we are planning on eating a big breakfast and then doing a hike to a waterfall where we can play in the water and pick wild blueberries.
it got me thinking how wonderful it is to have my weekends to myself now.
when i was a dub i would skip out on service a lot but the whole day was ruined for me because i'd feel guilty for not going out in service.

Anybody know what Big Red Sodie Water is? I've never heard of it...
Saturday: Slept in. Went and got a massage then to breakfast. Little bit of housework and maybe a movie tonight.
Sunday: Sleep in. Then a few friends are coming over (one is ex-jw) for mimosas and to take me to brunch for my birthday. From there we will go play a little golf.
It's a lovely weekend and I'm thrilled to not feel guilty anymore about skipping out on meetings (like I did for almost 13 years as a walk-away believer) Hallelujah!!

my two sisters did the right thing, pioneering straight out of school, janitoring to pay for the petrol (one didn't even bother with her final year of school).
it was this kind of fine example that got me guilt-tripped into auxiliary pioneering just after getting baptised at age 20. i only lasted six months; i took a holiday in queensland and returned not knowing much more about life but at least that it's bigger than my little congregation.
i despised the field service, i dreaded the daily schedule and every morning i was on my way out there was this awful countdown from the alarm going off to the first door opening, knowing that it's just a big setup to another depressing humiliation.

That's kind of impressive. I was afraid to lie even a little.
I auxillary pioneered for about a year in my mid-20's while working full-time to support myself. Then regular pioneered from '84 - '86. It was gruelling and I was too busy to be included in the fun parts of comraderie amongst the pioneers. Went to pioneer school (my employer closed up for the week I was gone - our very busy season) and have the book packed in a box somewhere in the garage.
I now wish I had enough lack of faith to lie on my reports. Any break longer than 15 minutes, I deducted from my 'timecard'.
Foolishness.

the september, 2006 km is one of the most special and significant publications the society has released in a long, long time.
well i'll tell you.. exhibit a: on page 1, the official announcement about the bethel layoffs.
hint: it's all blamed on "improved technology.".
Just how many times have they re-written the Revelation Book.
Haven't there been five or more published by the WTS already?
