Oh, and I agree that a lot of elders would be falling over themselves to fulfill this role. In the area I live, I can think of one individual who is a 'wannabe CO'. Has been for years. And he is a bully & a manipulator. He will be spraying his pants at the thought of this position (pardon the pun).

OMG! "there are so many changes happening, it must mean the end is close". I can just hear the predictability of it all now. It's all so blah!

JW's obsession with other peoples sex. Are their practices normal?
by jambon1 init disturbs me how religious people seem to have an obsession with what the rest of humanity does in the bedroom.
for instance, i have always found the thought of 3 men having an 18 year old girl describe to them her sexual exploits far more weird than her actual sexual exploits.
how can any father let their daughter go into a room and discuss intimate matters with 3, what i would call, perverts.

It's horrible. I feel that it happens to really young people as well. And, lets face it, we have all heard of the plethora of questions that are asked. It's just so wrong no matter which way you look at it.

How can ANY father let their daughter go into a room and discuss intimate matters with 3, what I would call, perverts. Because that is how I view them. Simply perverted. I feel that if the world in general knew that these sort of things take place within the JW comunity, they would be shocked & appalled. So rather than 'the world' being perverted, I would say that my conclusion is that the WTS and those who sit on JC's are the ones who are waaaay off the mark, to say the least. Filthy, dirty, bastards!

Blondie's Comments You Will Not Hear At the 08-31-08 WT Study (FIRST LOVE)
by blondie inq 1, 2. how did you feel when you became convinced that what you were learning about jehovah was the .
truth?.
what convinced you of the truth?

The teachings and information that you learn as a study is far different to the 'hardcore' information/doctrines that you are exposed to when you progress through the natural course of becoming a JW.

No. Never. And I regret the times that I did when I was a JW. It all seems so silly now.

On what occasions do JW's give undue 'worship' to humans?
by jambon1 incelebrating birthdays is wrong according to the wts.
we all know their crazy reasoning on the matter.
so what are some occasions that jehovahs witnesses get involved with that give undue 'worship' to humans?

Celebrating birthdays is wrong according to the WTS. We all know their crazy reasoning on the matter. So what are some occasions that Jehovahs Witnesses get involved with that give undue 'worship' to humans? 1 - celebrating anniversaries. Always confused me that one. There are many others though. Take it away........

"Accept Jehovah's Authority" - Study Article 24th Aug
by passwordprotected inwhat space does that leave for jehovah?
the theme text is 1 john 5:3 which refers to the un-burdensome commandments of god.
quite what that scripture has to do with authority is puzzling, as it talks about the love of god not jehovah's authority.

Next weeks study is also unbelievable. Basically saying that if you feel spiritually weak, that it has nothing to do with God. After all, he hasn't changed. LOL. If you are feeling like you want to leave, it's your problem, work on it. It could never be that a person has become disillusioned with the WTS or has changed his mind about god, through life experience. Guilting people is what the WT is very good at. Expert in fact. Terrible.

How long did you stay active after having major doubts?
by jambon1 infor me, i had doubts from the beginning.
however, my 1st major doubt came as i had it confirmed that other people felt like i did about certain big issues within the org.
there were many, i realised, that just knew things were not right.

For me, I had doubts from the beginning. However, my 1st major doubt came as I had it confirmed that other people felt like I did about certain big issues within the org. There were many, I realised, that just knew things were not right. For a few years I felt like I was the only one. This happened about 6 years before I eventually left. Wasted, wasted time.
