  Busted

  my incredibly sweet and intelligent girlfriend busted me on this site.

  i have talked to her about most of my issues with the wbts and told her about the site, but due to the very strong similarity between my conversations and my posts, she has cracked open the case like the little detective she is.

  i started telling her about a post i had put up tpday and how after quite a few months i have decided that religion is a piece of art and you cant argue over it, anyway half way through telling her she actually stopped me and said she had already read it along with all of my other posts.

  jeffery, I'm disappointed that you're going as I've enjoyed your posts. I think it's probably a good thing you've been busted. At least you have half a chance that you and your beloved will end up on the same page.

  I am still wondering what part of Oz you're from - but whereever you are - goodbye from me in little old Adelaide. And good luck!

  tomorrow is my first day at my new job.

  i'm looking forward to it but i'm a little nervous as well.

  other than my own computers and a couple of friend's computers, i haven't done a whole lot of this kind of work since 2004. of course before that, i did it exclusively for eleven years.

  i am so excited about christmas, i've only celebrated 2 since 1978.. i will be having a mini - apostafest with some jwders on the saturday after christmas along with family (even some of my ex-husband's family).

  Does Debating Have to Be Abusive - To Be Effective ?

  my wife and i were having an interesting discussion about some of the debates that take place on the board here .

  now, granted most people , i feel upwards of 90 % on the board maybe higher try to be respectful in their debates or discussions on topics.

  i think we all had enough bashing in the witness organization.

  i guess it's about time i write my story.

  i've put this off for a long time... primarily becuase, while i thought my story was bad, i've read so many worse and heart-rending stories here.

  i think, though, there is some therapeutic value in 'letting it all out' with others who know what 'it' was like.

  Another method of witness time-wasting

  yesterday as i was getting ready to go out i noticed from my bedroom window two women dressed in witness garb heading toward my house i didn't recognize them so when i answered the door they asked me if i was spanish speaking i said no and they then asked me if i knew of anyone the the neighborhood that was and i said no they thanked me and went off to the next door (doing the pioneer shuffle) to ask the same question.

  so this must have taken up a whole morning.

  my wife and i thought they could have spent their time so much more affectivly sitting in a coffee shop and saying olaaaa to each customer that came in and when one answered back they could have spewed their bs on them in spanish..

  The Italian JWs do that here. An Italian lady down the road from me gets called on by them - funny thing is they place English mags.

  One day there's a knock on my door and there's her Catholic husband wanting to show me something interesting from the Awake! magazine. He said I could borrow it but he needed it back!! I declined - politely (I told him I'd read it already).

  My First Interview

  well, all that work on my resume has finally paid off.

  i just received a telephone call to set up my first interview.
