  Going to see the inlaws....

  so we're making the drive to see my inlaws this weekend.

  we called to invite the brother that hasn't seen them in more than 8 month, he said he's "sick".

  granted we're going to go help out with a new business, but....well just dreading it.

  She may show you Matt 24:14 - "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come." JWs are the only ones preaching in all nations showing they are the true religion. They are the only ones who use god's name Jehovah. Another proof they are the true religion. Back to the scripture - "then the end will come". She might say, "The world is in such a bad state, the end could happen anytime. We love you both so much. We can't bear the thought of living forever without you."

  I think it's far better to make it clear at every opportunity, that you will never be a witness. They'll get used to it.

  new zealand jw's had a 2.5 hour meeting on saturday to listen to a 'special talk' via telephone link-up given by a governing body member.

  was it the same as gerrit losch's recent australian talk?.

  when i was a jw (35 years) i don't recall this ever happening before.

  I heard he was touring other countries after he left Australia so it probably was him.

  2007 Service Report

  is anyone able to supply a printable copy of the 2007 service report to help me in my statistical research?

  at present i have all reports from 1990 to 2006 for all countries and it would be helpful if someone could provide the 2007 figures in printable form.

  i no longer have a local witness contact.

  I shudder to think my family sat there in the audience lapping it all up.

  I feel the same. Some of my family (including impressionable young ones) were there via a link up and I'm not happy!

  just talked to a mate, he was disfellowshipped a few years before me, came to my wedding after i was.

  he's a bit of a party animal but a good kid really.

  he's back in his hometown and going to meetings, i think he'll try to get reinstated, the poor suck.
