I watched it on Sunday night but it was something totally different
Do you mean they showed another program? They did that in Australia the first time it was advertised - a month or two ago.
sunday at 7.10pm, and monday and thursday at 2.10pm.. http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/497100/1595066.
i missed the first 20 miutes of it on wednesday.
i only found it by 'channel surfing'.. .

come on, i know you're out there.
we have kh's here, so there's gotta be a few ex-dubs from the nt lurking here...
What is with all these accidents involving trains lately?
Most of the time it's driver inattention or deliberately trying to "beat" the train.
On the whole, trains are pretty safe though. I don't think it should stop you visiting the NT, Witness 007!

This was on in Australia last Sunday. I saw it during the week when I was visiting JW family (they'd taped it). The whole congregation is excited apparently - they all thought it was so good.
The "meeting" scenes stressed me out - I was quite surprised about my reaction as I used to enjoy the meetings (yes, weird, I know).
On the whole, I was glad it was favourable. It creates opportunity for non-threatening discussion. Maybe when other programs are shown in the future, JWs will be more likely to watch - and see the other side of the story.

Hi Brin
I've been to the Northern Territory and have great memories of the place. Only as far as Alice Springs and surrounding areas though. I'd love to do the Ghan trip from Adelaide to Darwin one day.

i've just read lola28's thread "for those against gay marriage".
i thought i should present a clear message on what i think the gay marriage issue is all about.
the trouble with most discussions on this issue is that it gets clouded by a plethora of side-issues, non-issues, cave-men chest-thumping and medieval puritanism.
There will always be people with prejudice but the law should be beyond that.
hello every body i am a ex- jehovahs witness but still trying to escape from listning to the same old( god is great we all suck) theme, looking forward to listning to you all.
Welcome, stilltrying! Good luck for your continuing escape!

My partner is still upset with my hesitancy to register to vote
It takes a while to overcome the indoctrination. Just give it time and don't force yourself to do anything you're not ready for.

sometimes i look back at my 27 years as a witness and am astounded by the amount of double speak that goes on in the organisation.
god loves unconditionally, but only certain ones, god is going to save the world from its downward spiral, but first of all he is going to destroy millions of evil people.
it is all so fatalistic and unkind.
Unbelievable! I don't know how you survived all that. I wonder what your parents thought while all this was going on?

just a few things i saw, i get so much stuff emailed to me, hope these are sorta new.. .
mother's dictionary of meanings!.
dumbwaiter: one who asks if the kids would care for desert.. full name: what you call your child when you are mad at them.. independent: how we want our children to be for as long as they do everything we say.. puddle: a small body of water that draws other small bodies wearing dry shoes.. sterilize: what you do to your baby's first pacifier by boiling it, and to your last baby's pacifier by blowing on it and wiping it with saliva.. top bunk: where you should never put a child wearing superman jammies.. .
This thread could get quite lengthy if we added all the things we wished JW mothers would say.
Of course love, you can play with the kid across the streeet.
It's quite all right that you ate that piece of birthday cake at school.
If you need to do homework you can stay home from the meeting.
Of course you don't have to go in FS.
Yes, you can have the latest Harry Potter book.
