HOW THE ORGANIZATION HAS LASTED THIS LONG...
by Mary inthis is in response to a post i did on another thread about the borg not having as much swagger as they used to.
it was suggested that i post it under a new topic so here it is.
it's a brief summary of the decades and how they've managed to get away with claiming that 'the end' is nigh for over 130 years now.

How can they possibly not know the blood issue logic is ridiculous? Or that the FDS doctrine is more than questionable?
Or the date changes such as generation or sealing of the anointed are only due to time running out on the doctrines that were in place at the time....the two witness rule for child abuse, the covering up of the old publications, what the teachings of the WTS were when they were 'selected as the true religion'...........too many to list. What about those who died while not accepting an organ transplant, and then overnight the policy changes and it became ok......

From what I have seen, the 'members only' editions all have the same cover, the 'general public' edition has the look with pictures and some kind of a 'hook' phrase to catch a potential readers attention.
Do the witnesses even read the public edition wt?

Power corrupts. Either the men that run the Organization are true godly men or they aren't. It seems they are businessmen interested in the $$$$.
yes these men have a lot of power, but outside of a cushy lifestyle, what do they really have, it is not an overly lavish environment, no fancy cars, I doubt very much in the way of fancy meals......yes they do not have to worry about another thing in the rest of their lives, but I can not see how the existence would be all that enjoyable.
Who are they making the $$$$ for.......what are the $$$$ used for??

There may be no financial scandals known due to gag orders.
That could be quite true......the child abuse settlement was 'gagged' pretty strongly...and to the run of the mill witness, there is not an issue with child abuse in the watchtower....that is a problem only amongst the empire of 'false religion'.

Just like any other religion there are sincere and godly people that truly love "Jehovah"
and those that could care less about spiritual things.
I don't think the organization is corrupt or the leaders are crooks.
The governing body are worshipped by the JW's and live like kings but we have to admit
that there has never been any financial scandal or theft considering the cash available at the headquarter.
Very true there has never been a financial scandal. I have done no research on the financials of the WTS, but I would venture to guess they really are more asset rich than cash rich....maybe a bit less now due to the financial conditions we are in, but from what I understand they own tons of property, not only in Brooklyn and upstate NY, but also don't they own most of the KHs as well.
These men are disillusioned, they have it good and they feel that they are all but one with Jehovah, in fact the power must feel amazing, realizing that they are not acting with Jehovah, they are acting as Jehovah.....

Good question....I think that they are misguided thinking what they are doing is truly helping people.....the corruption I see is a couple of things:
- Where is the money going that is collected for the magazines......I know there are a lot of operating expenses, but with the willed money to the org, that part has to be self sustaining
- It seems to me that the control is getting more and more centralized in the Governing Body, but the average JW can not see that. If I have read the posts correctly, the July WT greatly diminishes the importance of the anointed remnant, with the full glory going to the GB. It also appears that while the organization is taking more control, they are also shedding the responsiblity to the local congos for things like child abuse and the like, keeping the 'mother ship' financially separate.
- Blood......making the policy so strange that one can not give blood or take a whole blood transfusion, but one can take all the parts....this seems to be another way to shield the organization from lawsuits.....if a family loses a loved one due to no blood, the org can say that the 'fractions' are allowed and a MOC.
The rank and file see the organization as 'godly', the faithful and discreet slave....but the rank and file does not question a darn thing about the FDS.
