I think GB wives are taken care of to a better degree than CO/DO/ZO wives. I'd be willing to bet that a GB wife has quite a bit of dirt on the upper echelon that would be embarrassing if exposed to the public. To ensure their discretion, they'll get an apartment and monthly pension.
Another benefit of being a GB member.....one question, are the wives of the GB of the anointed??

My Uncle was Zone servant in Alaska. He died of a massive stroke. They had lived in an apartment above the KH. After his death, my aunt was given 2 weeks to vacate the apartment, and absolutely no money to return home to family in Massachusetts. If my family had not helped, she would have been left homeless and penniless in Alaska. That after many years of service as the wife of my uncle who served as CO, DO all over the US before being assigned to Alaska.
This is amazing and so very sad and disgusting......I hope his wife does not meet the same fate.

Has this news filtered down to the congregations yet???
For those of you that have been JWs, what is the reaction in the congregation when something like this happens?? Is it disbelief, celebration since he is heading to serve with Jesus, I mean Michael...., sorrow?

What hospital would they use.....not one sponsored from another faith, how about a public hospital......wouldn't that be something from this world....would the HLC be there so he does not attempt to get whole blood, just fractions?

Now that Jaracz is bedridden I wonder if we will see less dates in the pubs.
Is he the one who has stuck to the dates.......would be an interesting change in the docs, seems like they are tripping over themselves with dates (1925 vs. 1914 in a recent pub) and numbers in general (the February WT stating that the remnant is decreasing, while the past three years have seen a pretty significant increase).
There seems to be no coordination in the writing department at all, but the run of the mill JW does not notice this, and if they do they most likely attribute it to New Light?!?!

by koolaid-man init's amazingly simple, for thoughtful, and litterate people to see that the watchtower organization is in a state of free fall.
it's never been easier to "connect the dots" suggesting the trouble the watchtower org.

Good points OTWO....it is amazing, even as my wife is once again flirting with the JWs, she does not even attempt to bring her soon to be 16 year old son into the fold, I am sure he would have a lot of things to tell her about it.....
