  just wanted to say hello to all here.

  i really don't have much of a story to tell about myself.

  just find myself at a crossroads of sorts and wondering if i should stay or move on, although the greater part is telling me to move on.. long story short, i have been a baptised jw for 14 years.

  Germany, Octogenerian enters KH with Machine Gun

  pensioner enters jehovah's witness church with machine gunpublished: 31 jul 09 09:13 cet.

  an 82-year-old man who entered a meeting of jehovahs witnesses armed with a submachine gun, three magazines, a samurai sword and a knife has been arrested, bielefeld police reported on friday.. some 81 members of the church were gathered in their kingdom hall on dunlopstrae in the citys sennestadt district when a congregation member noticed the masked elderly man enter the vestibule waving the machine gun around 8:45 pm on thursday.. .

  the witness quietly informed the congregation and directed them to escape the building via emergency exit, a police statement said.. .

  because of the Society's policy on shunning family members----that it helps expose this rotten policy/doctrine and the effects it can have on family members.

  The policy that is so heinous that if you look at books such as bible teach or any of the more public things, shunning is not mentioned at all..

  Shunning, even moreso than blood is the policy that needs to change if the WTS wants to be thought of as something other than a cult.

  2009 Drama Synopsis and Comments

  this year's drama was based on the parable of the prodigal son.

  the theme was "your brother was dead and came to life".

  as some have probably heard, it is a modern day story based on that parable, so there are no fancy costumes or fake beards.. .

  MJ, did you see it online or did you attend the assembly??

  Wife is coming off the post assembly high right now....but the study sister was on a week vacation, so now she is back and I am sure that she will fire up the wife again for a bit.

  MY B-I-L IS IN THE HOSPITAL

  here's another update on my brother in law:.

  my sister and b-i-l went to the cancer center in toronto earlier this week to see about getting the stemcell transplant for his disease.

  it was actually an encouraging visit as the oncologist there said that they did not feel his condition had progressed into the acute myloid leukemia yet and that he had longer---up to 2 years---than what his local oncologist had said.

  hello all, i have been lurking, looking, reading, and digesting for around 2 years and it seems the time is right to post.

  i recently had one of those moments at the kindom hall where i found myself looking around thinking "am i the only one who gets it, why doesn't anyone else have this puzzled look on their face?".

  said during is second talk to the congregation "all of our food, our magazines, and all our wonderful books, and videos come from/through these 9 men".

  what if the masses claim to be heavenly peons? What does that do to paradise earth?

  Still only a neophyte with respect to this stuff, but what I have seen is the WTS tries so hard to paint paradise earth as 'the place to be', and if they remove some of the prestige from the anointed, no longer part of the FDS, will there be any allure to being of the anointed, you no longer are the dispensary of 'spritual food', it really only gives you a possible pass to be on the GB.....as long as you are male as well.

  some excerpts:"treated like a nobody".

  "when officially sanctioned (disfellowsipped by wbts) discrimination can lead to such evils as ethnic cleansing(kicked out of the congregation).. "bigotry and intolerance (don't talk or help a disfellowshipped person, fired him from an elders construction company) where there are laws against discrimination".. the right education can (on this forum) expose the root cause of prejdice (disfellowshipping) and help us deal wisely with prejudice when we are victims".. 'prejudice may be sown by those( you can add those here) who deliberately promote warped views of other cultures (religion such as the roman catholic church)".. we should choose our associates wisely(if we associate with workmates or other religions we will be discriminated>disfellowshipped<).. don't get me started on p22 clergy-laity.. by the way i just read "blues brother wt 15/10/09-re d/f'd friends.now i am really pissed-off.. bob.
