Do you think the Governing Body will make a major mistake that will open the eyes of most JW’s?

As long as the WTS keeps the folks all but worshipping the GB, which seems to be more and more the case with the current teachings, the followers are equating the GB with Jehovah God himself, so a mistake may be made that would send a good number packing, but I think the mistake would have to be HUGE.....

UK charity "Refuge" gives response to WT article on domestic abuse

i'm sure by now you are all aware of the feb 15th, 2012 study edition of the watchtower, and its outrageous experience depicting domestic violence.. as you may know, i have been looking into the matter in some detail.

i decided to contact the uk domestic abuse charity "refuge".

they indicated their concern towards the article and offered to help in any way they could.

have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

Outright Misrepresentations of Quotes and Citations in Watchtower Literature

the research of doug mason, annomaly, and others have been eye opening in regards to the society's recent articles on 607 bc.

what i find most disturbing is the misrepresentations of scholars, who are quoted in such a way to say one thing, when they meant something completely different.

it is one thing to teach a doctrine, and quite another to play fast and loose with the truth.

Great example leavingwt, I may have to print the reference and fold it up in my wife's reasoning book.....

There are already many threads with the misquotes in the Trinity brochure, I guess that is why there is no reference list or cited references for this brochure....

What's The Biggest Difference In Today's JWs And The Witnesses From Decades Ago?

i believe today's witnesses lack zeal, resolve, "love" of the "truth"......just to name a few things.. years ago, witnesses were excited to knock on doors and tell people they were gonna die if they didn't accept paradise.. now, when you see jws in service, they all look zombied out.. it's a slowly dying religion that will last probably forever like an ancient rotted out tree..

I look at some of the older books like the Revelation book and one at least had to be able to think to understand what is being stated, and now they are going to simplified watchtowers........the whole organization seems to be 'dumbing down'.
