We actually love each other. The thing is...we had to break things off because im not one.
I am going to have to agree with everyone here. I think you love him more...a person should accept a person for who they are. But, witnesses do not do this. Even if you were to continue your relationship you would always be judged and labeled as a 'worldly' person. Even though I am sure you are a kind person. You are still young and there are bigger fish in the sea.

If you ever just sit down and read some of the songs they are ridiculous! I can't believe that some of my 'favorite' ones talked so much about hate and the 'truth'. They can make anything sound good as long as they put a melody to it.

If you believe in the 'faithful and discreet slave' then I believe in Santa Clause the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy. Why don't you find out what the very first 'slave' Charles Taze Russel taught. And then tell me that they are right. The light doesn't get brighter....its just new prophecy and teachings to cover up the stuff that didn't happen! If Russel taught anything today that he used to teach he would be disfellowshipped. In fact if we kept to the old light and still believed it we would be disfellowshipped. Yet that food was from God. Does that make any sense to you??
another post from a newbie(who has been lurking around here for a couple of years now).. my story is nothing exciting really.
i grew up pretty much from the age of 3 or 4 in the jw religion.
my parents both became witnesses at that time, then after a couple of years, my mother "saw the light", and stopped going, but my father dragged my sister and i along with him for many years to come.
