What kind of situation are you in? It would just be helpful to know so people can either relate to you, give some advice, or just say some words of support. Welcome !!!

What a liar!!! Even if he has never masturbated, which is hard to believe because I think everyone gives it a try at least once, everyone looks at the opposite sex (or same) with some sort of lustful thought at different times. Could just be seeing a person jogging down the road on which you are driving, if they are attractive, you look, and even if for one split second, a thought usually comes to mind.

Did Rutherford love his wife?
by VM44 indid rutherford love his wife?.
if he did, why did he reside in brooklyn, while she lived in california?.
if he did, why during the times he did visited california he resided at beth sarim in san diego, when his wife, mary, resided in the los angeles area, where his son malcolm also lived?.

Did he provide for them? Very interesting thought. I would have to say "no" because if you love someone, you want to spend time with them, especially if you are in the same state.

by blindersoff inthe "farm-to-market" roads have seven lanes.. .
if you want to be a snob about your grocery shopping, you can go to a. randall's flagship, a kroger signature, a rice epicurean, or soon, an heb.
central market to buy bread and milk (but you have to dress up!).

Hello, I am new here...I think!?!?!?
by Kero-kero inhello everyone.. i am new to this forum...at least i think i am...i swear that i joined before and left a message...but maybe i was just dreaming.. anyway, i am, what seems to be termed in this forum, a fading jw.
my wife is still a jw and when i try to talk to her she will go on about me becoming an apostate, but i have learnt so much about the wtbts these last few months that fading and leaving is so easy for me now.
i know that there is a lot of hate and false stuff said about the wtbts but also a lot of things are true, like the famous ngo business and being a shareholder of a company that produces parts that are used in weapons.

Welcome Kero-kero! Depression is very common in the Org. most the people I knew, including myself, suffered from some sort of depression. Be good to your wife and show her through example that the life outside the witnesses doesn't mean that you will be "wordly". You are still the same loving husband, just without all the interuptions that witnesses pose on your personal time together. Be strong, through your examples, I am sure she will come around.

I haven't posted for a while, but I have been lurking, morning sickness was kicking my butt. Anyway, I was out running errands yesterday and ran into an ex friend who is a Jehovah's Witness. I forgot how self centered some of them are. She went on and on about her life and whenever I would try and share something about mine, she would cut me off and turn the convo. back to her. She was just leaving the WIC clinic at the local Methodist Church in town and complaining how she was gonna finally start having to buy milk for her family after not buying it for over 8 years. I asked her about any new changes in the congregation, she told me of everyone, including herself, who was getting ready to go to Louisiana to help with the JW hurricane victims. I guess it just all pissed me off. Complaing about government benefits that she recieves when her and her family blows tons of money on extra food luxury items that I can't even afford and I am pretty well off, complaining about benefits that she should be grateful to recieve, especially since she doesn't involve herself with governmental or political issues, but finds a way to recieve the handouts. Then to travel across the country for nothing more than personal glorification at the same time questioning how she would provide for her own family.
She then turned the convo. back to the Kingdom Hall and how everyone missed me and my family, and so I took the opportunity to ask, why then was I not invited to the memorial? Why had my teacher of 3 years not even attempted to contact me? She explained that they were all just hurt when I compared the Org. to the Catholic church. I explained that I was going through a tremendous blow in my life at that time, one which made me really question the Org. and I felt justified by my question due to the fact that the Congo. was protecting a known child predator as well as my ex Jw husband who I had to get a one year restraining order from, just so me and my family would be safe. And why the Witnesses only help those of their kind, while claiming to be the religion of love..God is love...and how you could claim to make a good witness to the community when you are percieved as a selfish religion that only helps those within the religion and no one else. She suddenly had to get going ....no answers of course, then abrubtly left. Just rubbed me the wrong way, so I thought I would vent. Thanks for leting me get this off my chest.....

divorce
by deda inif a spouse has been unfaithful and a legal divorce has been finalized is the marriage over in the church's eyes?
i've been told by the elders that i must witness the adultry or provide two witnesses that can speak to the adultry.
my ex-spouse will never confess to his past or current sexual acts.
-
snarf
Are you a witness in good standing? If you are you should be able to write a letter to the elders stating that your ex has committed adultery and will not come forward and confess, as he is not a witness. You can find the info on the watchtower library cd under adultery. If you are not in good standing, I am sorry but you will have to put yourself through some serious mind games to prove the adultery, because finding two "reputable" witnesses to the act is virtually impossible unless you actually have a picture of him in the act with someone else. Many people can be discredited if they are not jehovah's witnesses. What you need to ask yourself is, whose approval are you seeking? Jehovah's or the elders? Do you not think that God has seen what he has done and needs you to prove this? The only one you are accountable for on judgment day is yourself. If you know for a fact, I would just move on, or else you risk your mental stability in trying to prove someone elses wrongdoings.
