You are not crazy at all. I have also wondered the same thing. Take for example the word "record" in english. To a d.j. their first impression would be a record that is played on a record machine. To a detective they would assume to record, as in record a phone conversation. Two different words, but yet spelled the same.

Do you think that most "thin"people have hatred towards "heavy" people?
by booker-t ini know this might sound abit "paranoid" but as i mentioned on other posts before i am a "heavy" person who is losing weight.
so far i have lost 65 pounds and i am still losing through a "strict"diet and exercise.
i was at a restaurant the other day and there were 4 "thin" people sitting at a table across from a "very heavy overweight" man.

I have heard just as many rude comments about overly thin people as well as overweight people. Pretty sad, people need to stop and think sometimes. In my experience being thin doesn't last forever, having a child does some pretty weird things to your body. As you get older your metabolism slows down. There are many reasons for weight gain. I have a hypothyroid so I can go from a size 8 to a size 14 in the blink of an eye (it seems). Kudos to you on your weight loss goals. I know several "overweight" people that eat way less than "underweight" people. I wish people would judge other people on personalities and character other than outward appearance.

Your great deep secret
by greendawn intell us one of your great deep secrets that you are willing, and don't mind, to share with other people.
one of my secrets is that when i was 14 years old (and before becoming a jw) i had sex with a girl my age and also her sister who was one year older than me.
fortunately their mother didn't find out though i think she was suspecting that something fishy was going on.

When I realized I couldn't be married to my ex anymore, I opened a "secret" bank account and deposited money into it for a little over a year to help with my new life. I knew he was going to take everything away from me, so I planned my escape very carefully, even rented an apartment in a different town 2 months before I left. Glad I did that though, cause true to his threats, he took all the money (he thought) so I wouldn't make it on my own. But, by the time I moved out, I had saved over 6 thousand dollars!!! I made it and am doing great. I highly recommend it to anyone trying to escape a bad marriage.

My financial stabilty improved because I was able to work longer hours. My relationship improved with my daughter cause we had time to sit and talk about her issues and her day, instead of rushing to get ready for a meeting. That "worldly " people liked me for me, not because of some thing they could get from me.

I met my fiance online in a chat room. He was in Iraq in the Army at the time and I was bored and couldn't sleep. Neither of us were looking for a relationship, just good conversation to kill time. Anyway, after about 4 months of talking I started talking with his mom and sisters too. His family was coming to my area to look at schools for his younger sis and was looking at one about 15 minutes from me. We met for dinner and it all just clicked. I met his whole family before I met him, which was nice cause I could verify what he told me to make sure he was telling me the truth about himself. When he returned from Iraq I drove down with his family to meet him in person. We haven't been apart since.

Say something horrible.............but true about your kids ..............
by vitty inalthough, the complaints may be valid and sad.
many posters here have vented about their wicked parents.. i think its time we parents have a post dedicated to saying something horrid about our kids.
it maybe something you have wanted to say about them that was in the past or happening now.

I would love it if my daughter could clean her room without me having to tell her 500 times and threatening to take away all her precious items, and then keep it clean. She can trash a room in .004 seconds !!!

The daughter of a prostitute.
by greendawn inif asked: would you marry a prostitute most people would say no, but if asked would you marry a prostitute's daughter that doesn't like this game and has never been in it, would you do it, to have a prostitute as a mother in law and grand mother of your children?
.
i personally wouldn't do it hard though it may be on her decent daughter.

I am a girl, so I wouldn't marry a girl in the first place..lol. Seriously though. If the mother was never around, I wouldn't care too much, it is not the daughters fault what lifestyle the mother chose. Now, if the mother was around quite a bit, flaunting her life choices, then I would definately give it some major thought.

A wedding UNinvitation... please help me before I flip
by Fleshybirdfodder ini just got of the phone with my younger brother and i am angered to the point of apoplexy.
he was planning on going to a wedding of an old close friend of his accompanied by my mom (an active witless still), but happened to check an email address he doesn't use frequently anymore.
surprise!

Sounds like your brother is a stand up guy and that his witness friend is losing out on what could have been a great friendship. Look at the positive side, at leaast he didn't spend a bundle on a wedding gift for someone who wasn't deserving of it, and that he checked his e-mail before going. I know how mad and hurt it makes you and him feel, I wish no one would have to experience the pain of losing a friendship over mundane things.

Do You Think ENGLISH Should Be The Official Language In America?
by minimus insome politicians are saying this would be "racist".

I think that English should definately be the official languge in America. It has been for years, so why change it? If we go to anither country like France, Spain, Africa, etc... they use their official language.
