so far i have, hollywood, la jolla, san deigo, las vegas, aspen, honolulu, new orleans, orlando, phoenix, nashville, athens and madrid.. i ask everyone i know who's traveling to get me one of these plus the ones i get myself while traveling.. does anyone else here collect from hard rock cafe?

We're a strange bunch. I think the reason for our crazy attitude is that we are made up of lots of different conquering nations and so we sometimes exhibit a somewhat TRIBAL mentality, seriously so. Saxons, Normans, Vikings (Danes, Norwegians, Swedes) ...oh and we mustn't forget the Romans, there'll definitely be some Roman blood knocking around too...but "what have the Romans ever done for us?".

I have to concede a point here, which is that because the forum has helped the scales fall from my eyes in a more complete sense it has performed a 'shrinky' (now that's not even a WORD is it Lowden?) type of service.

And besides....i suppose friends always serve that kind of purpose in some way.

Not my shrink but it's been a great place to get a more rounded knowledge of what the HECK i did with 15 yrs of my life.
Just a fun place really.
I'm not one to discuss very private issues with people from all over the world that i don't really know. By that i mean that i wouldn't 'air' about my love life or other sensitive stuff. I respect that some find the need to do that here though. Whatever floats yer boat.

the creation of fear and the control that it allows must surely strike a chord.. recently i saw christian bale in the machinist.

I think that Joe Public is already scared witless enough of being involved with the JWs. I don't think a film is going to strengthen their resolve that much more.
Remember how people used to react to us when we knocked on their doors? JWs are seen as fookin' weirdo's. Pretty good judgement IMO.
Even the blinking Moonies still get converts.
JW's will sadly ALWAYS get converts as long as they exist as an org'.
Our efforts through channels such as this forum will be just as effective in deterring the unwary.
