Does anyone now celebrate...

does anyone who was raised a jw and is now df'd of da'd celebrate all the holidays?

i do, and for the first time in my entire life i'm actually having a blast and so are my children.

at least my youngest child doesn't have to suffer the segregation all jw children surrender to due to the freakin' mind controlling gb and all there so called "god channeled" rules..

Went to a 21st birthday party last night. Loads of people in Fancy Dress!!
SO....MUCH..HAPPINESS all around.
How could that EVER be wrong....huh?

I've committed murder!!!

okay, not so much murder, but yesterday i did kill a deer.

i was driving my 18 wheeler thru tennessee.

it was around 5 in the morning.

There was a programme on Radio 4 this morning featuring the audio diary of a guy that eats roadkill all the time. Has been doing for 40 years or so.
I think a sheep may be a different thing because that's livestock ( but who's gonna chuck a sheep in the back of his car anyway......gut THAT!!! ). Deer generally isn't. Nor is anything else that's much smaller. A gamekeeper ain't gonna bother if someone lifts a dead pheasant because it's no use to him anyway.

not necessarily according to jw terms or timetable, but at some point it happens in your lifetime.

would any of you return to the jws?.

Took care of satan right then and there, and showed adam the error of his ways and corrected him. That would have been loving. That would have been just. But because such a story cannot be used to instill fear in some one (and its a known fact you cant control without fear) we are led to believe a different story. One that can stretch down throughout the millenia's, and keep mans mind enslaved.

My brother lives in Sweden.
Here they have MANY moose (Swedes know them as Elk)
Elk are bloody massive!! I mean.....HUGE!!!
They have the tendency to walk out in front of cars ( like your deer).
Very often they end up making a spectacular mess of the vehicle.
My brother's friend was killed by one this year. Came through the windscreen.
Don't worry about killing a deer.

Was a JW for 15yrs and previously a Catholic (an altar boy when young).
Now...to me, all religions that rely upon the patriarchal system of worship (i.e. Jehovah/Allah) and that includes Christians, are simply EVIL.
Strong word? If you believe in this god you are a Fascist!!!! No different to a follower of Mussolini or Hitler.

i have never been much for dark, foreign beers.

mostly just miller lite, maybe a heineken or two.. one day matt and i were downtown and went to a pub here in nashville to have a few beers.

feeling a bit adventurous, i asked the bartender if she had any suggestions.

The Guinness in Ireland........is..............sorry...words fail me.
Guinness are currently launching a much lighter coloured version of the legendary tipple. I could call it RUBY....but then that's the true colour of Guinness in the first place (hold it up to the light).
It's all in how it's kept and poured. Simply the finest thing to fill a pint glass.
