America is the best place to live on this planet. Just because an insignificant religion decided to set up shop here and start the whole screwed up thing in America is rather irrelevent. The majority of people that hate America are a SMALL minority no matter how many here think it is a large voice. Go any where else in the world and try it for while and see how quickly you hate america........unless your head is in the sand!!! It is the best place in the world to live, raise families, have successful businesses and be happy bad times or not!!!

they had 2 kids robert and leann.he left ohio in the 70's and moved to north carolina in some overseer position.

Yes, i new him what a waste of time! He was a circuit overseer in the GR Michigan area in the early to mid 90's before his DO days. After I had given the Baptism talk at a Circuit assembly and complimented him on his part that day, he accused me of flattering him. He & I didn't get along very well in his 3 year stay in the circuit. In fact we almost came to verbal assult a couple of times.....LOL. His wife wasn't well even then and he used to like my wife to kind of look after her when they were at our congo.....go figure. He then went Minni....and he couldn't have left soon enough. It was guys like that why I left the Borg.

With regard to the Co-Hi group, it was basically a financial syndicate of people the invested or raised money from different sources to buy the real eastate. It kind of shielded the Borg until they took ownership. One of the main people in that group was from Michigan. He may well have been they guy you saw periodically. He was in New York so much (sometimes half the month)that he bought a home in Patterson to live there when he was on Borg Business. He was a pretty well healed guy that I new very well. They were always tapping those with money, although it was somewhat descreet. Although I was never a member of Bethel I was there many times. My folks were well connected at the top and supplied many of the top players with cloths and money....especially Couch. He really wasn't a very nice guy. Because of my deep involvment in other areas of the organization during my Eldership I was also in NY a number of times on company business and attended 4 annual meetings(it was worth it just to see the old timers on the "Launching Pad" in the front rows just waiting to be ejected to heaven....LOL Does anyone here know Martha and Ray Rambo. Been in NY since the 60's. I think they called her the laundry queen because she worked there so long taking care of everybody's dirty cloths.

I had the priviledge or curse of giving the part on the District Convention regarding new light on "the generation" in the 90's. it didn't feel right then and felt worse later after my annointed grandmother ask me how this could be so? What I had been taught from a infancy, and my grandmother had learned and loved since the 30's in one form or another was now being changed. It took years, but that was the straw that broke the camels back with me.(it still took many years to actually reconcile these things with others and leave)
New light, new light, new light orrrrrrrr failed prophecy, failed prophecy, failed Watchtower prophecy. It became very evident and caused my departure. Since I left I have really felt "new light" & new vision for my future for the first time and haven't looked back. There is no one that was more ingrained in the culture then me........but leaving that culture of JW new light (or lies) is what saved me!!!

he was saying that he and his wife have joined the rbc.
he was gushing about all the new projects they have in the works (an assembly hall in howell mi, and a couple of kh's.

Although been out for a while, it wouldn't surprise me if the Holt/Lansing assembly hall would be replaced by another as it was refered to in a rather nasty way by many in high ranking positions as the "Pole Barn"!!

After being greatly involved for about 20 years in the rbc (including a branch appointment) I had the opportunity to get into different areas of the country for matters that would move the program forward, one was the west michigan area. Too many village idiots in GR for an assembly hall although it was discussed. Way more company men in central and east michigan! It dosn't surprise that they would consider making some drive a great distance for the convienience of bethel west in Detroit.
