Religions that don't go to war

hello in conversation today with brother-in- law who is still in the borg.he said while he may have questions about the whole god issue he doesn't know of any other religion that refuses to kill their fellow believer if politicians say you must.

that is a strong plus point for him on the virtues of the wt.

is he correct?

The Miracle Wheat Scandal, anybody have documents???

many allready know the story, but for those that don't it goes like this.

the watchtower magazine (1909-1911) was publishing articles and ads for a product called 'miracle wheat', a wheat that was supposed to bring forth lots more crop than regular wheat.

this was sold in the watchtower magazine.

well, today i came home from work and i found some pamphlet from a jehovah's witness on my doorstep.

i began to read it because before i state what i believe i think it is only fair that i find out some info.

it was the flyer about the end of false religion.

Hi Amanda, and welcome. I'm glad you started this topic. Perfect timing!

Just moments ago, I sent the tract to my friend who's entering the priesthood, and asked for his response.
My "bad association" with him was one of the reasons the Jehovah's Witnesses ended my study with them.

Here's what I said:

"I've attached Kingdom News #37, THE END OF FALSE RELIGION IS NEAR. Each JW "publisher" gets 50 ?tracts to distribute, which is supposed to cover the entire globe, even China somehow. The campaign ?officially started this week, and the Witnesses are out in full force. It's appears to be a rehash of a tract ?I remember as a kid, almost 30 years ago!??BTW, False Religion is YOU. You will die die die at Armageddon if you reject this tract. Don't say nobody ?warned ya', buddy! There is almost no time left to repent and become a magazine salesman, just like some ?"widely respected religious figure" stated. Yes, they have reduced our Lord and Savior to a "figure," like a GI Joe ?doll. Maybe he'll use his kung-fu grip at the Big A. Ya' think?"?

Womens Right`s are they Wrong?

women today fight for `women`s right`s` but are they doing women any favours?

as far as i can see, they have just made it harder for them.

now they are expected to have the kids, work full time, clean house, cook, babysit, taxi drive, nurse, etc., i think they have done us a disservice, by trying to be `equal` to men in the workplace.

i worded that there thread title so's i get you to read this and help my poor forgetful, used to remember, brain out and show me some documentation using jw's vs. christendom teachings on this question.

here's the question.. how do you prove to a jehovah's witness that the "great crowd" spoken of in the book of revelations is a group who's eternal hope is a "heavenly one" rather than a "seperate" group of jesus followers with a seperate eternal residential destiny?.
