Steam, thanks for your response. Not sure how it answered my questions, but thanks nonetheless.
I DID read all of the volumes. When I started to see the cracks in the Watchtower, I decided to go back to
the very beginning of Russell's Bible Students, and I'm grateful I did.
I hoped that if I could only get back to the time before the WT went "apostate," I'd be okay. Even considered
attending the BS convention in Fairfield, NJ. It was not to be. Russell was a quack, and I don't doubt the sincerity
of his followers, but they were mistaken then and 130 year's failed prophecies has proved this to me.

Has anyone been a victim of stalking for being a WT dissident?
by FuzzyPaul ini recently wrote a letter expounding the flaws of the watchtower regarding their sexual abuse of children scandals, being in the united nations, having been started by a freemason (with proofs) and while i didn't write it as an "why i don't want to be a member anymore letter" no one would confuse it as a love letter either.
i don't answer to the watchtower's agents and they don't answer to me.. what is seemingly happening is that i have been followed since the letter was mailed to 4 ex-congregations i went to for long periods of time including the one i attended with my jw ex-wife.
i believe that i might now be getting stalked.

FuzzyPaul, welcome. Some may find your post paranoid. I certainly don't.
I wish I could offer some advice, but I can't. All I can do is confirm that back in the late 80s, elders in Florida were stalking people. Here's what I know.
1987, my ex-boyfriend married a woman he'd just met during our breakup, and moved overnite to FL. He did not tell his own parents, let alone the JW brother who employed him, or the other JW brother he studied with. Just vanished. It was a very messy breakup and I ended up leaving the only congregation I had known since age 4. He was escaping his own wrongdoing (sexually harassing an older sister who had just been reinstated). Everyone believed him that I was an evil fornicator and this newly reinstated sister "came on to him." There was an additional scandal involving a prominent elder's daughter that was covered over because of her dad's status. All his lies were piling up and there was a distinctive odor in the air, so he fled South with this "worldly" woman he barely knew.
His wife basically married him so she could stay in the U.S. He basically married her to avoid homelessness. Not a good foundation. Throughout our own harrowing relationship, he accused me repeatedly of cheating and watched me like a hawk. I was allowed no friends, even JWs. He once hid behind a door so he could "monitor my unclean activities with my brother." We were at our parent's dining table looking at pictures in a Reader's Digest geography book, for crying out loud! He accused us of incest. He had a scary fascination with the movie "Rambo." Watched it on videotape, over and over until the tape was worn out. Total nutjob, and a died-in-the-wool stalker.
Well, he decided pretty quickly he needed to get out of the flimflam marriage (he went through people like Kleenex). He convinced the brothers in FL that his wife was cheating on him (he had experience with this by now), and they agreed to help him get the evidence he needed for a scriptural divorce. Please note, he was still studying, an "approved associate," just in from NJ. She was not a JW or studying.
Two elders (he explained there had to be two or more witnesses, men in good standing) followed the wife to and from work. They followed her to a female friend's house, and to her relatives', and waited outside in a car with a camera. This went on for awhile. Finally they told him they had no evidence, so he'd have to find another way out of the marriage. He would have to prove that she was a danger to him spiritually, because he was "yoked to an unbeliever."
This is how the spirit-appointed elders assist people toward Christian baptism? I was shocked out of my shoes. It was the first I learned of the "two witness" rule, from him.
How do I possibly know all this? Because the creep kept on writing and calling me the whole time! He assured me it was okay to write because "I have a P.O. Box my wife doesn't know about and only I have the key." He would call me when she wasn't home. Way too much info. I felt so sorry for the wife. I was APPALLED at the elders. Who would have thought they went around spying on "worldly" people for unbaptized people? Was that even legal? Who did they think they were?
Psychologically, he never accepted the fact that we were through and his marriage was valid. He told me he still "owned me" in Jehovah's eyes, and that since he got married in a civil ceremony, Jehovah wouldn't recognize the wedding. Jehovah allowed him to make this mistake so he could see I was the right one. That the elders were spying for him was THE PROOF of Jehovah's blessing. Soon, we could get baptized together, then marry like we were supposed to. La la la... CRAZY... la la la.
I made it clear I would have nothing to do with a married man on general principle, him or anyone else, yet *especially* him. Period. I had washed my hands of him. Now I was being stalked again. I told him to cease all contact. I threatened I'd get the police involved if I had to. I had all his letters, would put a trace on the phone. Contact the elders here, to contact the elders there, to prove to them that HE was the spouse who was less than faithful. He finally relented and slithered away.
That was how I learned about elders performing private investigation services. That they would even take the time away from the congregation, on behalf of an unbaptized stranger's false allegations, is disgraceful. Had they called up north to the congregation where his publisher's card was issued, they should have learned the guy was a looney tune who had a poor history with at least three JW sisters. Instead of shepherding the flock in their care, they were lead on a wild goose chase over an innocent non-JW woman who's life was none of their damn meddling business. Yet somehow I believe they liked playing along with Mr. Rambo's escapades.

***Weddings, is for the whole village, and all of family. No invitations, all are welcome.***
***Families mean family. All live together.***
Sadly, once they succeed in getting a few baptized, the shunning and family divisions will begin. This idyllic scene, the picture of Paradise itself, will will be utterly destroyed by the Watchtower as it undermines the family foundations of their peaceful society.
Dear, innocent, unsuspecting folks. If only they knew!

I got my "end of false religion" tract
by Junction-Guy inone of my friends at work brought me the tract, she said they left it at her door.
i was so excited to finally read it for myself, i was grinning ear to ear when she handed it to me.. after reading it over i did find one inconsistency---- if you look on the back there is an advertisement for the "pay attention" brochure.
if you look closely at the 2 african women in the pic above, well those women are reading this brochure, if you look close enough you will see it is the same "pay attention" brochure, however there is one minor difference in details.

Good catch, Dave!
Yes, they use a variety of ethnic images on the covers, depending on the language or where the publication is to be distributed. There's a display at Walkill showing the a single Watchtower issue with all the different cover languages/ethnic images represented.
Their use of branding is no different than any other for-profit corporation looking to hook customers, like McDonalds or Pepsi Cola.

***All these measures can be found in the Great Pyramid or under it in the Subterrreanan Chamber area. The Chart of the Ages that you are making fun of tells the same thing.***
Steam, please explain:
Why would Jehovah use a pagan, man-made funeral monument to the 4th Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu, to reveal his "Divine Plan?"
Wouldn't Solomon's Temple be a more likely choice? In fact, Jehovah told Noah how to build the Ark, Moses the Ark and Tent of Meeting, Solomon the Temple... so why is there no record of Jehovah instructing the Egyptians to build the Great Pyramid at the Giza Necropolis?
Also, I thought Jehovah used Jesus, His Word, the Logos, to give us the Good News of salvation. The early apostles did not preach about a "Divine Plan," it was all about Jesus and his gift of salvation. Christ's followers did not base their faith on measurements of pagan burial tombs, but rather, in his shed blood.
Jesus himself clearly stated he "knew not the day or the hour." So how did these ungodly Egyptians who lived 2.6 millennia before Christ know any more than the Son of God? Do you suppose Jehovah tricked them by means of holy spirit into using special measurements to coincide with future dates that even Jesus admitted he was clueless about?
Last, what measurement system is used to attain the Divine Plan's dates? The numbers change drastically when you use cubits, feet, metrics, etc. Makes a tremendous difference. How do the Bible Students account for this?
Respectfully,

What Do You Wish More People Knew About JWs?
by whyizit inimagine that you are speaking to the general public, who really doesn't know a lot about the wts:.
) in your experience, as a member of the wts, what did outsiders correctly assume about jws?
what was the most common misconception?.
-

1) They correctly assumed that JWs are not Christians. The most common misconception was that JWs refuse ALL medical care, not just blood.
2) They should ask how Jehovah, the Happy God (tm) could kill infants at Armageddon. Since he can "see" into the future, he would know that they would have turned out wicked anyway.
3) N/A.

i wonder....30 percent?

If I remember correctly about the Jonestown tragedy, those who did not partake of the poisoned Koolaid were shot on the spot.
Koolaid comes in a variety of flavors, a cheap powder substitute for nutritious fruit juice.
"By their fruits you will know them."
