Apology to all
by wozadummy inthis is an apology to all for my recent posts, i did'nt mean to upset anyone .
just coping with leaving the org ,and the past ,and trying to support my wife who, as some know from my prevoius posts has tried to deal with her pedophile elder(past) father for many years now thru the org ,and then being badly treated by them and her large extended family (most are witnesses and are trying to silence her), made me hit rock bottom.
we are now taking action via the police and court system and she is barely coping ,and me being bi-polar does'nt help matters much and i fell into to an unreal state for a while as we don't have much support of any kind.

When you spread out your hands in prayer, ?I will hide my eyes from you; ?even if you offer many prayers, ?I will not listen. ?YOUR HANDS ARE FULL OF BLOOD.
–Isaiah 1:15
This is the way of an adulteress: ?She eats and wipes her mouth ?and says, 'I've done nothing wrong.'
–Proverbs 30:20
Stop judging that YOU may not be judged;
for with what judgment YOU are judging,
YOU will be judged; and with the measure that
YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU.
–Matthew 7:1,2

• If you favor a particular artist or style, allposters.com has it well, all.
http://www.skyimagelab.com/
Breathtaking images of outer space, if that's your thing.
http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/gateway/121/105.html
National Geographic, self-explanatory.
• On a canvas, arrange "found" things... leaves and branches, or nuts and bolts, for example, and spray or splatter paint over them... when dry remove the thingies. You can underpaint the canvas so the reverse images don't all need to be white.
• An arrangement of beat-up, empty picture frames from garage sales... all sizes and shapes... spray paint in metallic colors... shiny gold can look tacky but think bronze, copper, verdigris. You can start with a few and just keep adding over time. Put little ones inside larger ones, or make a sunburst pattern. You could flow a wavy trail from the living room into the dining area to tie those together.
• Jazz/blues, or beer/wine, or ethnic festivals often produce lively and colorful posters each year, sometimes free for the taking.
• Maps... AAA members can get all sorts of maps...cut 'em up and have fun. If you have traveled a lot you can put big pushpins or stars where you've been. Or show the path from where you were born and locations you've lived, attended school, etc. and where you and your partner's lives intersected.
• Have some personal photos scanned and blown up at Kinko's. They have wide-format, high-resolution printers.
• Or, hang a quilt. Textiles always add warmth.

Cheap-ass Watchtower tapes!
by Nosferatu ini recieved 4 tapes of kingdom melodies from lee (thanks lee!
) so, i shoved one into my tape deck so i could hear "stay awake, stand firm, grow mighty" for the first time in ten years (man, that sounds like a song about my penis).
however, i discovered that the pressure pads have gotten crusty and fell out of two of these tapes, and the cheap bastards at watchtower didn't put screws in their tapes so i could easily fix them!

***Sorry if I offend but criticizing the Society for their tape quality is funny.***
Actually, the WT does not manufacture the tapes, only record them. When I visited Walkill in 2005 our tour guide related that analog cassette tapes would be discontinued soon due the the fact that there were only a few manufacturers left in the world. Digital recordings killed cassettes years ago; the demand just isn't there so neither is the quality.
At least CDs/DVDs are a step in the right direction. The paperback NWT? Now that's cheap!

Who denied holidays first - WWCOG or JW's?
by AK - Jeff inanother thread indicated that wwcog had been ahead of jw's in saying that holidays were 'verbotten' - and that the wts then picked up on the cue as additional ammunition to keep witnesses under control and 'seperate from the world'.. can this be confirmed with dates/times ?

One of the Worldwide Church of God offshoots, the United Church of God, keeps the Sabbath and other Hebrew holy days and practices tithing.
They claim to "trace their origins to the Church that Jesus founded" YET they do not celebrate Christmas or Easter either.

LOL! I have clothes, food, tender happiness, frills, a pan, a comb AND a cat. His name is Lassie.
Guess that makes me a "girl" in Scientology circles?
And I didn't have to marry Tom Cruise to get them? YAY!

The point is: There is no "factually fair" comparison, apples for apples.
The dilemma is not unique to the U.S. Please identify another country that provides all these "services."
