Mind if I add one more?

What if you had to write a statement of beliefs for the WTS?
by whyizit inmany churches have a written statement of faith, out-lining what their beliefs are.
that way, visitors know exactly what the church teaches and believes.
they get an idea of what to expect.. if you had to write out a statement of faith for the wts, to show exactly what they believe, without hiding anything, what would it include?

So little knowledge
by grissom6471 inso many people here and so little knowledge of jehovah's witnesses.
there are still people here associating jehovah's witnesses with the watchtower society when that is not the case.
so many people look to the past not the future.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF THE WTS.
by Mary ini wonder how many more years it'll be before we see two tablets out front of patterson or inscribed in the secret elder's manual:.
we are your lord and god.
you shall not have other gods before us, including jesus or jehovah.. you must not question anything we say or do.

Jehovah's Witnesses & "worldly" association (sad story)
by lovelylil intoday a jw friend of mine related this story to me.
she was at the park with a sister whose husband is an elder.
the elder's wife had their four year old son, an only child with her.

***Do you guys think I should write to her?***
Since we know who possesses the headship, and makes final decisions in all family matters, perhaps you should write to HIM!
(You may want to point out the scripture where Paul talks about being no part of the word, yet we can't actually get out of living in it.)

Aaron (Psalms 133:2), Samson (Judges 16:17), and David (1 Samuel 21:13; Ezekiel 5:1) had beards.

Are JW kids allowed to be kids?
by tall penguin ini had a memory come up today.
i recall there was a time when kids were allowed to read the subheadings at the watchtower study.
they cut that out because they wanted kids to participate in the same way as the adults, by answering the questions for the paragraphs.

No, not kids, youths. As in, "rebellious youths."
Did you know that Youth is also an island whose historic use was as a penal colony, and hangout for pirates?
That's a good way to describe JW youth: imprisoned and surrounded by pirates.

Would you submit to a "voluntary" search?...
by Justice-One inexample....a cop pulls you over for a broken taillight or some other very minor infraction.
he says he is just going to give you a warning, then says something like...."hey, you don't have any rockets or explosives in your trunk do you?
" you of course say no, then he says "mind if i look?

You're right. This is the same advice my dad, a police officer, gave us when we started driving. Never concede to a car search.
They make more arrests through broken taillights than you can imagine.
