JW interpretation of bible

does this particular argument have any validity?
to me it seems like an "escape hatch", a tool to explain away what one could call certain "irregularities" in the bible.. they seem to think they can cross-reference any one part of the bible with any other as serves their ideological agenda.

but not to me this time, my 12 year old son.. last night he fell asleep on the couch, so i left him there and went to bed.

you seem to have missed my point, and that was "experiencing" it doesn't make it so, regardless of whether you're sober or not, regardless of whether or not you're mentally ill. And as for these so-called "group paranormal experiences" there are many plausible (and parsimonious) explanations available, one need only take one's pick.
just because you or anyone else claims to have seen or heard something paranormal is essentially dismissable simply because 1) there is no evidence, just your claim, 2) the claim is extraordinary, and extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence to even be worth considering at face value.
I believe people truly believe the things they think they see and hear. It's probably especially convincing when you don't remember popping a tab a couple of hours earlier, but that doesn't make it "true". That doesn't bring it into the realm of things we can assume really happened, and talk about meaningfully.
ButtLight: your blatant condescension is duly noted. ad hominem attacks like that are usually a sign of someone arguing from a very weak position.
Moving right along, if you see lights on things and there is no possible source of light to cause it, you might consider describing this to a doctor and not us. Especially if your son is also experiencing what could very well be schizophrenic hallucinations. I mean you no insult by this, I sincerely do think you should look into this possibility.

They seem to think they can cross-reference any one part of the bible with any other as serves their ideological agenda. I say, the bible has enough stuff in it to say just about anything you want to say with it.
And what's with the new covenant? The stuff I've seen seems to say that JWs (along with many other similar cult groups) have had "grace" kept from them. In what doctrinal manner are JWs being denied the grace of the second covenant? They certainly show the symptoms of this, the paranoia, the legalism, the excessive quantites of rules to follow, the marginalization of jesus in favor of the borg, in fact many say they are not even really christian.. can someone explain this to me a little better?

Experiences are highly overrated. One time I experienced seeing very intricate geometric patterns rotating around, then multiple faces, hot dogs, you name it. And the whole time I had my eyes closed.
So how could I have this experience if my eyes were closed? I'm not too sure, but I think it had something to do with the LSD I had taken earlier. Just a guess.
Experiences are worthless if there's no concrete evidence to back them up.

STALKED II
by general inas i was studying last night for organic chem the phone rang around 10:30 p.m. eastern as i predicted it would.
when i answered it was my mom on the other end, again as i predicted.
afterall, it was tuesday night, the night of theorcratic minstry school and the service meeting and of course i knew the elders were going to speak to my mom about the little incident out in the shaws parking lot.

STALKED!!!
by general ini think you are all going to get a kick out of this, .
for those of you that don't know me, i have been out of the organization for almost 4.5 years but i have never been disfellowshipped nor have i disassociated myself.. last night after going out to a nice italian resturaunt with my girlfriend, father, and step-mom,( who never were part of the organization in the first place) my girlfriend and i said goodbye to them and we began the trip back to her place, which is 2.5 hours away.
before we got on the turnpike she said, "that she had to use the restroom and could i please stop off somewhere.

If that was me, I'd have grabbed his hand and twisted it in one of those jiu-jitsu wrist locks, the kind that are painful but don't injure if you don't twist too far. Then while he's moaning I'd have very calmly explained to him that he should not behave like such a domineering jackass. Then I'd have let go and walked away.
There would be very little he could do about that, especially if I'd been careful not to actually cause any sort of physical injury. Even if he called the police they probably wouldn't do anything, after all, THEY were chasing after YOU.
