Disfellowshipping, Association, and Marriage question.
by baltar447 inok, so i've heard it said before that disfellowshipped people can't associate with other disfellowshipped persons.
is this in print anywhere or in the elder manual?.
also, are there "rules" about disfellowshipped persons marrying?

Thanks for chiming in guys. I know from my own research that I can't find anything in print, nothing in the Shepherding(beating) the Flock book either.

Ok, so I've heard it said before that disfellowshipped people can't associate with OTHER disfellowshipped persons. Is this in print anywhere or in the elder manual?
Also, are there "rules" about disfellowshipped persons marrying? It's been told to someone I know that if you are disfellowshipped and you marry another Disfellowshipped Jehovah's Witness, then it will delay the reinstatement process. I'm normally very well versed in all aspects of Jehovah's Witness doctrines, beliefs and such, but this is stumping me. I'm trying to find information but if anyone can assist helping me find anything in print I'd appreciate it.

Are we completely sure Trans people don't just have a mental disorder?
by Lore inso i thought i was a pretty accepting person.
sure i grew up in a bigoted cult who hates gay people.. now i'm an atheist who has no reason to care about anyones sexual prefferences.. .

I have genderqueer friends. I don't get it myself. But I accept them as friends because they are good people. You probably couldn't tell that they identify with both genders. I stay out of their personal lives. They don't seem to be "mentally damamged" at all. So your stereotyping isn't fair or valid. I care for them as great friends and that's all that matters.

October 15, 2012 Watchtower now on jw.org
by sd-7 inlooks like it's fun.
there's a cool story in there about how a ministerial servant got deleted for playing violent video games, and then wrote to the branch office about it and told people in his congregation.
classy, guys, really classy.

9 A Christian’s spirit may also be tested if he is corrected or is relieved of privileges in the congregation. One young brother was tactfully counseled by the elders about playing violent video games. Sadly, he did not receive the counsel well and had to be deleted as a ministerial servant because he no longer met the Scriptural quali?cations. (Ps. 11:5; 1 Tim. 3:8-10) Afterward, the brother made it widely known that he did not agree, repeatedly writing letters critical of the elders to the branch office and even in?uencing others in the congregation to do the same. It is really counterproductive, though, for us to jeopardize the peace of the entire congregation in an attempt to justify our actions. How much better to view reproof as a way to open our eyes to see weaknesses that we were not aware of and then quietly accept the correction.—Read Lamentations 3:28, 29.

Latest WT: "Refusing to appear before a JC is like refusing medical treatment"
by cedars inin the latest october 15th 2012 watchtower (page 13).... "because of what they perceive as defects in the elders, some individuals who engage in serious wrongdoing in the congregation have refused to appear before a committee of elders assigned to help them.
this could be likened to a patient who loses out on the benefits of a treatment because he does not like something about the doctor.".
sounds like they're now trying to stigmatize those who try to avoid judical action.

I like this account in paragraph 9:

DOC, you put it exactly right. Impotent little pricks throwing their weight around bullying women and children. They imitate their "mother' the borg.
