interesting reading i thought.. no wonder high control religious groups discourage education if there are studies that show conclusively that people with higher educations/intelligence are more likely to not believe in god at all!.

religiousness and intelligence is a subject of studies on the social correlates of intelligence and iq.

I know ONE person that is both smart and very religious,thats all.After I saw how dumb most jws were I came to the conclusion that religion equals dumb.For over 30 years this has been my observation.Its like I have this built in awareness of people.Without much effort I can determine how religious the person is by how dumb they are.OR it could be that people think theres a better life after death and dont even try in this one.I live in the south and many people here wear their bible belts around their necks.They believe in Jeeeeezusssss not much else.Pray for rain so their 'tomaters' dont die.

How did your parents punish you?????(Fluff)

now i know the topic may be thought of as abuse scenario, however it is not.....(i am sick of hearing about abuse).

i threw a party at my house(parents came home early)....anyway, as a punishment i was to sand and stain shingles for the house.

this was a huge job it took me 2 weeks to get it all done.

I would get chewed out for reading books even from the schools library esp. if it was on history,school related, or THE TRUTH ( not jdub truth) .Fahrenheit 451.Shit really hit the fan when I read a bs book titled Chariots of the Gods.phew.....Everyone came at me for that one.Seldom grounded just mauled.Will gladly return the abuse if theres ever a prison for jbubs.I will apply for the job.WARDEN......yea cmon

was christ's teaching enough to give momentum to this religion beyond the first christians?

or did christ's teaching need augmenting with pauline doctrines?

For the heck of it I sat down and read only the statements that JC made or supposedly made.Its amazing how little there was to read.You can find more about Alexander the Great 300 years before JC or Elvis................I just do not know but I think maybe it would have been enough.I sensed a lot of division in the BOOK.Nothings changed either.....

when you found out that this religion probably wasn't the one true religion like you had believed probably for a large portion of your life, or maybe even all of it, how did you react?

my whole life belongs to the society.

all my friends are witnesses, my family are witnesses, even my job is dedicated to the society.

I can remember the torture growing up and they really should have killed me because I will not stop nor retreat.I will never forget and I will make sure everyone I know knows this.......I cant say anymore about this.
