I threw my Mom a SURPRISE birthday party this year at a nice restaraunt with all her closest friends and family. She hasn't had a birthday party since she was 7 (she turned 47 today). She was in the borg for 25 years and this was the first time in 25 years she got to celebrate. She had a marvelous time!!! Afterword she said " I think we are finally on the other side, I think we are normal."

Possable "New Light"?

with all the "buzz" around the up-comming october anouncment, i have a question.

i have thought about this for a long time, is it possable that they would tell all those married to non-witnesses to divorce their mates?

it could be for the reason of "unevenly yoked", and/or keeping spritually clean.

I don't think there is an announcement. I think its a bunch of hype over nothing. I think they wish threre was an announcement to interuppt there dull boring mundane drone-like existence, but I dont think so!!

I still maintain the parents are to blame in this one. One theory was that t her Mom figured out the Father was molesting her and she killed the girl. I think I believe that. They acted so strangely after her death.

What reaction would the JW's have if you walked into the Kingdom Hall?

for those who didn't attend meetings for a while, imagine that you just walk into your kingdom hall 10 minutes before a meeting.

I think they would be initially horrified, followed by sheer glee they have someone to stare at for two hours and whisper about. I ask, again, why do dubs stare at DF'ers. Do we have something in our noses???

miss any of their friends that they left behind in the organization.

I think if they were really friends, they would miss us as much, and still maintain friendship. I had a friend, actually it was my Moms friend, she was like a second mother growing up and into my twenties. We were all very close (her daughter and I remain very good friends). She got DF a couple years ago, almost the same time as me, for having an affair. She talked to me openly all during her DF'ing, but as soon as she got reinstated, her whole attitude changed towards me. Now, she completely shuns me.

That TGI Fridays commercial where two guys are standing at he bar and staring at a hot chick and she's coming over top them all sexy like and one guys like "hi, Im' Chris" and she says "IM CHRISTINE. HOW FUNNY!!!!!" and then starts in on this horrible laugh.

i have recently(df'ed) left the tower after being raised in the "truth".

kinda weird but in an exciting way!

the one thing i do miss is the friendships it sucks some have such a hard line, but that is the price they pay.

Welcome. I know it can seem scary at first, but once you get comfortable in your freedom, you will be so glad you are out. Consider it the best thng thats happened to you...your free!!!!!

i can't help but wonder why if there is really some ground shaking announcement coming that the elders already know, then why has no one posted any real information about it?

i was under the impression that there are active elders on this forum.
