I am so excited about exchanging physical cards with everyone. How can we do this so that it is kind of organized? I personally have no problem putting up my name and address but I'm not sure if others are ok with it. Do we do this in the thread or should we send all addresses to Eglishmen and he can give out the ones that want to be on a list? Have your people get with my people and maybe they can do lunch. haha

My husband and I saw the Dateline show. We too thought it looked fake, but upon discussing it we felt that it doesn't matter if it is real or not. If it helps him personally then it was a good thing. I think this is a type of faith healing. I know that many (not all) Medical Doctors even use the mind to help heal the body. Although I will have to admit that the statement that was made about it possibly being dangerous for those that are mentally ill is a consideration.

Question: Is WTBS only religion in US to be NGO?
by c5 ini am just starting to piece together this whole un/wtbs scandal.
does anyone know if other us churches and denominations became an ngo as the wtbs did?
if so, is there a website where i can see exactly who belongs?.

To answer your question yes other religions have joined.
Go to: * http://www.un.org/
Then click on Welcome (upper left)
Then click on "The United Nations & Civil Society (left option)
Then click on "NGO's and the Department of Public Information (upper right)
Scroll down and in the paragrah above the "Criteria" paragraph click on "Directory"
Then in the center is listed "Ngo's listed alphabetically. Click on that.
From there you get a full listing. -

Only J.w's will survive the big A
by toddy inmy question is,if it is true that only j.w's will survive then surely everybody on the planet should at least get the option of becoming a witness, but there are people living in remote parts of the world who rarely come into contact with civilisation,im pretty sure there are still small tribes of people living in some rainforest who haven't even been discovered yet, where do theses people fit in,do they just perish like the rest of us?.
sorry if this is a daft question, been on the guinness all night!

mustang, that is funny. I was in chat the other day and msil and malk was in there. msil with his blinking eye and malk with his flashing red circle over the letters JW. You know the universal "no" symbol? Anyway, I digress. I said in chat that I had to tape paper up on the chatters list just so I could pay attention to what was being said.

Inappropriate behaviour
by Missie Eff inhas anybody ever had any urges to act strangely at the kingdom hall?.
i remember having two very strong urges:.
the first was to stand up while everybody else was quietly listening to the meeting and throw my bible across the hall in a fit of frustration with the intention of hitting someone and waking up.

I remember growing up and wanting to stand up and yell to see if anyone could see or hear me. I thought I was off the wall until I left and realised that I had felt like a nobody while there. My sense of self was due to what they wanted me to be, not what I wanted me to be.

I remember when my girls were small....6, 2 1/2 and 1 year old. We would sit in the back of the Hall because of frequent trips to the restroom. The youngest was being weaned and she was sitiing on my lap and decided she wanted to nurse. Well you know how quick children are......she reached out and grabbed the front of my blouse, button down, and pulled the whole thing wide open. As I realised what she had done, I let go of her and grabbed my blouse. At this moment, she fell to the floor with a big thud. Almost everyone in the Hall turned around to see what had happened. Here I am clutching my blouse while my child is on the floor screaming!!!!!

What a beautiful girl you are! You are right, you will always have Jehovah's Witness ways in you. The trick is to find the positives....like being a good person,...etc. and letting go of the rest. It does happen in time. I tell people that I am not sorry for anything that has ever happened in my life, and there have been some terrible things, and they look at me like I sprouted a third eye on my forehead or something. I tell them that if each and every one of these things hadn't happened..........I wouldn't be who I am today. It's a matter of knowing what to keep and knowing what to throw away.
