0-16. My Story.
by serotonin_wraith ini was raised from the womb until the age of 16 as a jw, i was never really a part of it.
i never got baptized, by the end i hated everything about it.
the worst part was not being able to voice any opinions i had on the religion, not unless i wanted them to fall on deaf ears and be considered immoral.

A woman that strongly supports the dubs
by greendawn ini was talking with a woman today who admires the jws, though not one of them, and she was telling me things like they are the only people with strong principles and families and the only ones that really try to apply god's laws in their lives and uphold biblical truth.
also that there are many diseased individuals among the blood donors and most donated blood is contaminated so the dubs are doing well to avoid transfusions.
i was going to say to her i am surprised that you did not join them.

It depends on your perspective Greendawn. Are you an ex-jw yourself?
I only ask because there are allsorts that post on this forum. -

CAT or DOG - Why?
by hamsterbait ini am amazed at the almost complete polarization between cat and dog lovers.. .
i know few who love both.. .
cat lovers argue that cats are more intelligent than dogs.

I love cats they are cuter and cleaner than dogs.
They purr to show they love you and they are low maintenance as they pretty much look after themselves.
Also dogs stink, don't say they don't because they do! -

Diary of a mad Jdub woman.
by jojochan inmy cousin is at end of her rope..... even though she tells me how she does not want to marry a "worldly" man she can't help but to conclude that that's what's gonna happen.
she's now "talking" to a brother that's in her words "brokeback" but o.k in her opinion.
she's also frustrated that he although enjoys sneaking over her house and fooling around with her, he has made no effort to say, "roll with me, i wanna be your man.

Hi Jojo. My sister was in the same situation as your cousin a few years ago. All the men in the 'truth' were rubbish but thought they were fab just because they were eligable.
She fell in love with a worldly man and felt scared and guilty etc. He was very persistant though and they were married in 1997 and have been happy ever since. She's still a dub and he's still worldly.
She went through hell with the elders at the time, they marked her and basically everyone misunderstood and shunned her. A couple of years later all was forgiven and she is treated as normal and her hubby is invited everywhere that she is.
Her best friend however decided to do the 'right' thing and is still single and in her late 30's now. Such a shame as she is a lovely girl.
I'm afraid I married someone I was totally incompatible with, divorced him 16 years later, am now df'd and happily remarried.
I hope things work out for your cousin. Tell her to follow her heart, god just wants her to be happy. XXX -

love and fine works
by saturdaymorningblues ini just want to say that i wish we all returned to exercising 'love and fine works'.
after all, its by us doing so that our work is rewarded with the precious gift of everlasting life.
nowhere else can we recieve such a gift except from our heavenly creator 'jehovah god'.

by arecibo inhi guys, .
just want to say how great it is to be able to talk to people in the same situation.
sometimes it feels like there's no-one who can really understand what it's like being brought up in the jws.

The faithlessness here
by grissom6471 init is a shame that people are here portraying themselves as jehovah's witness as having some knowlege or going to meetings.
what exists here is a complete lack of faith in anything.
and a great amount of stupidity.
