I'm afraid I can't comment on this subject since I haven't yet received a tract. I thought everyone was meant to get one?
Has anyone got one they can post on this thread? or has someone already done it on another thread? -

I'm glad you took the smug look off her face. And more than that I'm glad you are truly happy.
Happiness is..... being free of the WBTS. -

What is the nature of addiction?
by katiekitten innoname's topic about the 'the walk of shame' got me thinking about the nature of addiction.. does having an addiction mean you cant help what you are doing?
or that you can help it a little bit?
or that you can help it completely and just arent trying hard enough (essentially the religious position)?.

I'm addicted to chocolate and I would like to eat it all day every day.
Not wanting to look like the back of a bus stops me. -

Jehovahs Witnesses on The Heaven and Earth Show BBC1
by south african beef ini just watched the heaven and earth show on bbc1.
there was a jw mum and her now 16 year old daughter on the programme.
when the girl was 15 she needed a life saving operation which apparently required blood.

I don't know what backwater you're from R6laser but in my experience the vast majority of jw youngsters get baptised at a very young age. As a percentage I would say 75% get baptised under the age of 16!

Do Your Medical Records Still Say That You Are A Jehovah's Witness?
by BluesBrother ini raise the question because mine did - until thursday that is.
a routine follow up review appointment was my opportunity to place a 'living will" in my records .
the doctor said "you are a jehovahs witness aren't you" .

OMG I never actually thought about that till now. I will write to my docs and make sure there is nothing on mine or my children's records.

Does anyone now celebrate...
by Hannah indoes anyone who was raised a jw and is now df'd of da'd celebrate all the holidays?
i do, and for the first time in my entire life i'm actually having a blast and so are my children.
at least my youngest child doesn't have to suffer the segregation all jw children surrender to due to the freakin' mind controlling gb and all there so called "god channeled" rules..

Yeah I celebrate everything and it feels great. Normal.
The kids love it and I feel guilty that they had to miss out for so many years. -
