I was happy to be inferior, I had enough to do without the added burden of being given privileges!!

Sisters, did you feel inferior to Brothers?
by JH inhaving less privileges than brothers, did you feel inferior or simply different?.
would you have prefered to be treated equally to brothers, but with all the responsibilities that go with it?.

Do the Governing Body have a priviliged life style or not?
by Gill inhaving heard that ted jaracz is being flown out of state to consult a heart specialist, i started wondering what other luxuries the governing body of the wtbts enjoy!

It's weird but I remember my jw relatives that live in Cyprus saying that when on field ministry, the Greek people's main gripe was that those jw members 'at the top' had all the money. This really used to anger the Greek community.
The jw's would argue till they were blue in the face that this was not the case. If only they knew!
Of course the GB live a charmed life. And as well as already has been mentioned, they are lavished with many gifts (sometimes cash) by the rank and file. I know because my parents always used to do this for CO's, DO's and any visiting GB members to the cong. -

The biggest waste of time you are ever likely to experience.
And oh my god why did the time pass so slowly during meetings. When you are watching something entertaining on tv the time just whizzes by. Time seemed to stand still during especially boring items.
I really don't miss meetings. -

You know that your mum is allowed by WBTS rules to speak to you now and then. And you should be able to go and visit your parents once in a while. What they are not allowed to do is formally invite you to their home, but if you just turn up they shouldn't turn you away.
This is what I do with my parents and sister. It leaves their conscience clear and I still get to see them.
So Richie, I say go and see your mum from time to time and be a good son. She clearly would like to still be a good mum to you but the evil WBTS indoctrination has a hold on her.
Good luck. XXX -

In respect to headcovering, can you get away with a sheet of toilet paper??
by Gill inwhose idea was it anywhere and is there any mention of it in any awake or bodgetower?.
the idea, that women when taking the lead in anyway or praying should have something on their head as a sign of respect suddenly struck me as a sign of total disrespect!.
i understand a woman may put anything on her head as a sign of respect to her superior male colleagues, including a used kleenex....i've seen it so don't doubt it!!.

Peter Andre
by Peppermint innot a fan of peter andre but happened to see his book (biography) on the shelf in tesco.
i had heard in the past that he had been brought-up as a jw, so had a nose through to see if he had anything to say.
he mentions that he celebrated christmas for the first time 2 years ago with katie price.

Some friends of mine who are still jws actually grew up with Peter. They were Greek Cypriot like him too.
I think his parents are still in, but I'm not 100%. Perhaps that's why he has so much praise for the jws. -

I was 18 when I was baptised and everyone was panicking because I was so old! Why don't they do as Jesus did and baptise at 30.
