its time for me to move on.. some of you will know that recently ive really messed my life up.
i met a lurker on a dub site and while we started off as just friends we became a lot more.
over 3 months we hurt both our partners and ourselves and in the end she ended up running back to her rich boyfriend and cut me off completely.. ok i know that some of you embittered bible bashers just cant wait to reach for your keyboards and start condemning me save it!
I didn't get to know you, but I am sorry you are leaving.
We all make mistakes and what is more important is how you handle the mistake!
If you do decide to move on and not come back to the board remember that you can't have a future if you stay in the past. Move on from this and start fresh!

Who said my son was a "victim"??? My post was about people from his hall calling his dad to report back to him on seeing my son enter a movie that I approved of him to see.
I'd like to know how you can make all these comments from a 3 paragraph post by me, since you know nothing of me, my son, my ex and our living arrangement other then it is shared parenting.

i just took the dog a walk, and saw 4 dubs at the top of our street, trying to place kn37.
this is, of course, the first official day of thecampaign, so i expext to see a few more of them than usual over the next few days, but it's not often i see them at this time of day (3:10pm when i spotted them).
they all know me, and when they saw me walking towards them with the dog, who does admittedly look a bit fearsome, being a pit bull/staffordshire bull terrier cross, they looked a little nervous, as if they thought i was going to set him on to them.
They were probably wishing they could be enjoying the day with their pooch instead of knocking!
Ahhhh the joys of no longer being a dub - FREE TIME!

I was born in the truth and I am still amazed at my LACK of Bible knowledge!!! I studied for all the meetings, gave talks, and went out in the preaching work and I wonder where all my knowledge went! I must have just been going through the motions.

I did see the first one (and so did my son - we rented it), but have not seen the second one yet. I did not find the first one all that freightening, in fact my son described the second one as "dumb" and not worth wasting money on.
I would not permit my son to see a Rated R movie, but since this was PG-13 (and his is 13) I thought it would be fine. When I was a dub I used to believe that watching movies about demons was "inviting" them into your house, but I don't believe that crap these days.
The only time my son goes to the movies with his school friends is when he is with me, and it honestly is not that often (a few times year). He knows going with his "wordly" friends is a treat.
we met on myspace in an ex jw forum there, i gave him this link so he could meet more people who have experienced what he has.

We had the occasional dogs but my dad was a terrible driver and after getting thrown off someones porch he got our car stuck in this persons ditch. Another time he took out someones fence. Talk about embarrassing!!!!!!!!

the organization always painted a picture that.
it was a peace loving organization.
I didn't but it seemed that my mom did.
She was refused for pioneering several times. My uncle was an elder in our congregation and he and my mother never got along. He wouldn't call on her during the Watchtower study. My mom used to do a ton of research and she usually had very thought out and in depth comments. If he did happen to call on her, he would say from the platform "Thats an interesting comment sister, I'd like to know where you did your research" (in a condeseding tone) - he was just trying to embarrass her.
