Latest JW tract
by Icansaylucky ini came home to find the latest jw tract on my door.
it was titled "the end of false religion is near" what a catchy title, never heard that one before.
i started breezing through it and came across a subtitle called "false religion... tolerates immoral sex" they actually have the nerve to say, and this is an exact quote " even churches that condemn immoralality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children"

Do you have any "old friends"?

i was thinking today that many of us lack something that other people enjoy -- old friends.
we either weren't close to our high school friends, or sort of shut them out of our lives.

My mom finally did it!
by Woofer ini guess i wasn't surprised yesterday to find a letter size envelope from my mom in my mail box.
i didn't have to be psychic to figure out that it was the new tract.
she was also "nice" enough to include a watchtower from sept (i think 06) entitled "when a loved one leaves jehovah" and of course he underlined many points for me.

WHAT REMAINS TO BE DISCOVERED IN WTLAND?

The Love Starved

i had just been reinstated, after being df for 9 years.
my first observation was how lonely the chatters were.

I've found the love that I deserve with my husband. It's sooo nice to be with someone who just loves me for who I am. I am free to speak my mind and form my own opinions.

What makes me most sad about her letter is that she was telling me about all the health problems her and my dad have. Only 28% of my dad's heart is working and my mom was in two different hospitals last year with strokes. They probably always thought the "new system" would be coming right around the corner and they never imagined they would have all these health problems . .but they keep pushing the JW religion. I remember being a child and my dad having our weekly study and he would tell me that the new system would be here before I graduated high school. I've been out of school for 16 years now!!! Will the lies they were told ever sink in???

I guess I wasn't surprised yesterday to find a letter size envelope from my mom in my mail box. I didn't have to be psychic to figure out that it was the new tract. She was also "nice" enough to include a Watchtower from Sept (I think 06) entitled "When a Loved One Leaves Jehovah" and of course he underlined many points for me. Since when is Jehovah considered an organization??
She also wrote a letter saying how much she misses me and she hopes just "maybe" these articles will inspire me to come back and how the time is so close (never heard that one before). Hmmm she misses me so much that she hasn't seen me in over 10 years though. She also asked "how is your daughter?" She didn't even use her name or say "how is my granddaughter?" I told my husband that I bet she cannot even recall what my daughters name is!
I hope she counted her time while writing the letter and her two placements . . .LOL!
I think this is the perfect opportunity to write her back and tell her exactly why I will NEVER go back.

Did you get the new tract?
by kid-A injust wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.
did anybody get it left in their doors/mailboxes?.

I haven't received one either. But then again I live not too far from the hall that I was d/f from so maybe they know where I live and are avoiding me.
