  I'm confused

  this db is advertised as a "witness" board.

  yet there seems to be some disagreement over the place the wts should play in our lives.

  can someone inform me what the "official" stand on this matter is?.

  i am new to this.. i have a problem.

  someone on my ministry asked me about the date that we hold so dear....607 bce and asked me to prove it to them.

  this would not be a problem i thought as the f&ds would have solid basis for using such a date.

  its ok...it has been confirmed that Elvis no longer lives at Graceland...

  As for me, determined I shall be,
  (oops..wrong thread..)
  to accept that Jesus is ruling, he may have started earlier or later than accepted...on the other hand, it all may be a century out of sync....

  but something is going on......I just need to find out what and when...it would really help to provide guidance in the confusion I feel...

  it is an interesting expression, tunnel of doubts as if several doubts merge to produce an overall tunnel from which it could be difficult to emerge.

  I wish I knew the answers...
  I have doubts, severe doubts based on history and broken understandings...
  The Witness in me keeps me "believing"..

  Sleepless nights, anxiousness, hope against hope..prayers all night long...

  I have lost faith in the structure...the code of ethics and the mentality of the average Witness...

  that is my tunnel of doubt...

  Witnet Admin Resigns

  my hats off to the witnet administration team.

  it is very sad to see them go, as the last few months have been quite interesting.

  of course, those who follow the board know that in recent weeks there have been quite a few problems surfacing.. its obvious many of these individuals had concerns much like we have here.

  It doesnt surprise me that the admin took off. Even a very balanced and liberal witness would have to take deep breaths at some of the comments he makes on his site, and the threads he posts. I dont believe obed even believes in the religion Jehovahs witnesses anymore. Whatever, its history now and while expecting to see the site continue, it can only hurt his credibility in the long term. I know Focus wil be jumping for joy and is will publish the view as one more example of people realising obed is not a true christian LOL.

  so how long have all you guyz here been apostates anyway, just curious?.i mean, it must be kind of cool to reflect and think...."well, heck, i'm a damned freaking apostate" or altleast a closet apostate, of which most of you are, i think?, right?.yeah, such a cool label is "apostate" huh!.but i'm interested, just how did all here personnally come to realise 'the truth' aint really that?, what set you on that track and made you look outside the bounds of wt literature into so-called apostate areas.. and what finally convinced you that its all just a heap of nonsense?

  and forced you to shockingly conclude you had been living a lie?.what did it do to you at that moment, i mean, how did you deal with this blatant self admission that the wt was wrong?

  did it crack you up or what...or did you just laugh it off or something?..

  I actually found the questions a little demeaning. Perhaps said with humour, yet in essence coming from a person who has never been a witness, it had a sense of smugness about it, almost a superiority.

  Some of us, are not interested in joining other religions, or putting the blame for the entire state of the world on the shoulders of the governing body of Jehovahs witnesses. They can only be responsible for what they are responsible for, and within that context hold accountability towards the creator.

  Now, Im not to thrilled about some very real and heartbreaking misleads over the past while, and Im not too keen on following where my conscience doesnt fit, but Im really not into spreading a message of revenge and ridicule.

  Neither I nor Path are apostates. Some may mistakenly have put that label on us, but not those that know the difference. That is all I can say about Path, the rest I speak for my self.

  Whatever, whoever and whenever, Jehovah God will lead those seeking him in the right direction. Maybe for now, the WTS is not the way, but maybe in time it may become that..maybe not. I do not doubt the sincerity of the leaders for one second, and neither did Ray Franz, only the utterances and the prophecies.

  I will deal with my own pain, loss, sense of abandonment and emptiness in a fitting and christian manner without name calling or empy jesting, for tomorrow the answer may be to look the WTS way again...or it may not.

  In any event, for now I just look and pray.

  Most disgusting thing from Watchtower Corp.

  one thing that really doesn't add up with the organization and their registrating to be a corp.(yes i have to put this in quote sorry it's called non-profit corp.) is the very fact that they play in the worldly system of things while they tell you to keep out of it.

  (while they see nothing wrong in themselves playing the stock market with other peoples money) think about it where did jesus say to register god's organization as a corporation?.

  furthermore if you were living in jesus' period of time who would be the president-vice-president-secratary- treasurer-shareholders...?.

  One thing I could never work out, and still cant, is the question as to who benefits from the money. With the lessening of income since the inception of donations for literature, income had to be generated elsewhere, and stocks is one way.

  But I still cant see where individuals benefit in the organisation.
