Reform....why?
by Deacon inthe organization cannot be reformed from outside; that can only come from individuals who have the guts and will to do so inside, and the determination to get rid of hardline thinking that is so strangling.
my personal desire is to see immediate change regarding the child abuse policy, and that will come.
to see a clear, quick change in the horribly inconsistent blood policy rather than drag it out over years; kids are dying in the process.enforced shunning is also an evil that they will have to deal with eventually; it's ripping them apart.. .

Watchtower April 1st 1986 page 31.
Approved association with Jehovahs Witnesses requires accepting the entire range of the true teachings of the Bible including those scriptural beliefs that are unique to Jehovahs Witnesses.
Acceptance as a member of the JW community is therefore conditional...

Anybody else had visions?
by philo inwhen i was separating from my wife and leaving the jws, i had some visions.
for some strange reason, i decided not to eat for a day, then when i found my thinking clearer and my emotions mellower, i fasted for another two days.
so after the third day, i was walking down our street and i saw the houses burning after me, i felt this was an affirmation that marriage was decay and destruction, or wasteage.

REM
thanks for your comments.
It isnt the frequency of the occurences,it is the fact that they happen at all.
Im a scientific and logic based person, I can rationalize anything. Experience, professionalism and familiarity with the subject in hand all leads to intuitiveperception.Intuition being a form of perception based knowledge not in the forefront of the brain.
However..when these things happen...it always moves on its own and I feel like I can see inside the person and just guide the resolution of it without physical contact.
During thest times, I feel completely in touch with my knowledge. my confidence and my abilities....
Maybe some energy we dont know too much about yet...

Just a side note.
YOUKNOW
if you are a practicing and believing Jehovahs Witness, your input here earns you immediate expulsion from the organisation. As an elder, I would have no problem in disfellowshipping you for apostacy. On what basis?
Promulgating theories not sanctioned by the WTBTS.
Discussions of above with d/f and d/a persons.
Association with known apostates.
Greeting known apostates. In other words, for peddling prophecies without a licence and for hypocrisy.
You are an unrepentant practicer of sin.
Now if you are an attender, but not a believer, that is another matter.
Interested persons want to know why you dont actually practice what you appear to uphold, and why you upbraid others mightily in the sanctimonious manner of a disgruntled ignored prophet?
I am tired of being told that this way is right, or that this is wrong...I need to see genuine application of scripture from genuine searching people, not from people who go against the tenets of whatever religion they profess to believe in....without admitting that the religion or idea or doctrine is wrong...sheesh...
I still ask...is there anything worth reforming...not for social or political reasons...but for the reason of being Gods organisation?

Some deep reasonings here.
I guess the overwhelming feeling coming through, is the need for the WTBTS to recognise that the methodology in dealing with its members, is not conducive to an interchange of honest worship or freedom of expression of heart.
With regard to the shunning doctrine, the principle of expulsion from any organisation for not adhering to its rules is legally and morally correct, and to be fair, I dont have a problem with it. However, the stated reason for expulsion, the only reason for expulsion is unrepentance, ie, not ceasing an action or course of conduct, and not willing to change....is not adhered to. Persons are actually expelled for fornication, for stealing for lying etc...which is contrary to the scripturally stated procedure. Along with this, is the then enforced practice of shunning, and it is taken to ridiculous lengths, it destroys relationships, puts everything on a basis of conditional love, and is unscriptural.
Then we have the blood tranfusion issue.
Then the neutrality issue.
Then.......But the question is...do we have anything to reform?
Are the basic tenets, doctrinal understanding, channelling from God really there within the WTBTS?If it is, then do have to just wait for Jehovah to rectify it..
And if it isnt..what is to stop us, members of this board who still believe in a creator, starting our own congregation and interchanging spiritual nuggets without interpretation or condemnation?
Im just saddened to know that in the event that this did happen, some people who know that they have the true message, will try and hijack it for their own ends....
Maybe we really are on our own.

Further questions..
If Jehovah really did/does use the FDS, are they listening?
Is it a test for us?
Are they the great apostacy of prophecy?
Are they the disgusting thing in a Holy place?
Are we lacking in faith?
It just goes round and round doesnt it?
Is The tribulation really going to happen?
sheesh...!!
er...

Okay. This is not for the those who have found that they no longer see any need to believe in a God. This is for the likes of people like me who currently are lost, rudderless and feeling the way around the gaping hole that has opened when the truth is no longer proved to be the truth.
Maximus, I did not ask your permission for quoting your words, yet I feel in this context you will not mind, however if you do I apologise and will remove your quote.
Reform or not to reform. To reform would indicate that the basic tenets of the organisation is correct, but either the application is wrong, or the doctrinal issues have changed. To reform would indicate that those wishing to pursue that path, feel that Jehovah God is or was behind the organisation.
I guess, that in posing this question, Im doing a lot of self searching. Either we as individuals were self deluded in the message we heard, or conned by smooth men, or....perhaps we believe the message but the vessel used to deliver it has corrupted or maybe even lost Gods Holy Spirit.
Or maybe as my my dear friend 6 of 9 puts it, its all a crock.

I dont know about visions. I work in the medical field. Time and time again, when examining patients, especially those with misplaced vertabrae or dislocations, I can feel where the problem is, and by placing my hands in the correct place, but not touching the skin...it generates tremendous heat and rectifies the mispacement. My medical colleagues have witnessed this many times and we all wonder.
Yes, I did 10 years medical training..no I cant explain it...and yes many other things like this happen..
weird.
