They might as well invite them, they get to hear of everything anyway.

this post contains reasonable questions due to the fact.

Personally, i come on here as i know that there are others that have experienced being in a mind controlling cult, and are trying to rebuild their lives, but have been left with `jw baggage` which they are working thro`, kind of like therapy. I know that i have learnt a lot of facts about the org that i didn`t know on here, and it has `educated` me, learning the `truth about the truth`. The outcome is i am able to move on, but i will never ever be able to forget the wasted 25 years of my life.

what would be "proof" of God's existance to someone?
by BlackSwan of Memphis inshort of god coming down herself to say "howdy y'all!
" what would it take to make you a believer in god?.
not necessarily the god of the bible or any religion in particular, just a supreme deity of some sort, call it ra, thor or chaos.

I think you either believe that they could have influence or you don`t. I choose to. I haven`t got any evidence, how can you prove something like that, i don`t believe that the jury were right in that case either. I`ve heard loads of stories about kids doing things after listening to Marilyn Manson, but i can`t prove it, some are dead so they can`t speak for themselves, but i`m sure there are some that can. I think you put up to hard a barrier to accept or believe something.

under_believer i am quite happy to debate, and haven`t taken offence, but do know how to stick up for myself when people are trying to browbeat me. The watchtower said there was hidden messages on the Beatles records, and other things. I am not one of those people who can be bothered to go back and look into their publications, i haven`t looked at one since i left, and don`t intend to do so now.

under_believer- just because i am new to this forum, there is no need to try and bully me, and so what if the thread has been on before, it is new to me and other newbies, and just a side point, even the wtbs acknowledges subliminal imaging, so i do believe it, yes, but still am open to discussion, not just to pooh pooh it as you have.

BSoM- i had night attacks, and they were REAL, but won`t go into detail about them on here, but can tell you some stuff about my bro`. He lives in a smallholding in Cambridge, England, and he has got resident ghosts or spirits whatever you like to call them. Loads of people in the family and friends have each experienced things there, and hardly anyone goes there anymore now. Things like his drums playing in the night, and his organ too. Doors slamming for no reason, cups swinging, things moving about, cold areas, i could go on and on, spooky eh?
