also found in the tomb was an ossuary bearing the name matthew.

last summer, i noticed a rat living underneath my shed in the back garden.
i tried my hardest to convince my female counterpart that we had a rat living with us, but as usual was met with a wall of silence.
so time passed and i didn't see rodney the rat again, so i just figured that he had gone away some place else.
Rats I have no problem with exiting - poison is the pits especially if they die in the roof ......aaaargh!!!
The best "intruder" story I have was of a native mouse that infiltrated the house and had a habit of sticking its nose into one's ear while you were asleep. How did it finally go? My wife spotted it in the kitchen one day and yelled at it to "piss off" (or similar words) at about 140dB. The mouse, knowing what was good for it fled straight out of the house, never to return.
Also have had red foxes come into the house....
i've been listening to this from the congress for some time now, and it's back in the news today.
the idea is to build a literal fence along the us border, hundreds of miles long and costing millions of dollars, in order to keep out illegal aliens.. damn you canadian outlaws!

A fence does not solve these problems - we don't need a fence here due to the large moat around the country. Though this doesn't stop people seeking refuge or a better life coming in by boat from Indonesia.
The solution is far from simple (and I don't profess to have a solution) as it has includes elements such as desperation (those trying to come in), greed (hiring illegals at sweatshop rates) and opportunism (criminal opportunism).
By the way, there is a case going here at the moment where someone is being prosecuted for slavery (an unusual case arising from the employment of an illegal under very poor slave like conditions...)

I acquired a small lathe a few months ago with the idea of getting into model engineering. To date I have not achieved much, but am learning through trial & terror. I have toyed with the idea of setting up a home foundry (I worked in a foundry long, long ago) but have not taken that any further although it would be a real asset to my metalworking schemes. Too much to do, too little time......
Always been envious / admiring of good metalworking & skills.

Know what you mean. I am positive that some of the advertising people must be full-time on the wacky weed 'cause you really have to watch for a brand name or SOMETHING that gives you some clue as to what they're selling. My mother is 90 yo and reckons she is losing it because she doesn't "get" the ads. I told her not to worry as I don't get them either!
Re the "imtimate" variety - are these on all hours or restricted times for you? Our bad to worse to OMG times here are 9:30 pm and 11:30 pm revert to normal (pathetic) at about 5:3o am
