Good work Soledad! It sounds like kindness in this case worked best. Maybe they will one day realize that those who leave are not evil horrible people.

Visited by JWs today
by Soledad inmy mom had an accident about two weeks ago, fortunately she is ok. im living in my parents house now after my husband (yet again) threatened to "beat the crap out of me"---that story in another post some other time.
needless to say, ever since she got out of the hospital the phone rings about 50 times a day, mostly calls from the "hermanos.
" today a couple that i have known for about 15 years comes to visit, and their "discomfort" with my presence (i am da) is quite noticeable.

If you want so desperately to get out of the organization, DA'ing yourself would certainly be telling them all where to put it!

Initial Reactions-Assisting Inactive Program
by twain30 ina tremendous push has been made to help the inactive in our cong.
there is now an official list assigned to each book-study conductor which they must follow up on.
to me the obvious intent is to jump start the inactive or to label them as bad apples.

It makes you wonder how many of the hours counted are actually real? I know I would always round up, but I never made up huge amount of hours.
A friend of mine growing up, one summer month did the auxillary pioneer thing, and reported over 60 hours when it was actually about 1 hour.

Mine is meeting my wonderful bride. It was another site, and I was just looking around. She had left her story, and I responded to it. We had gone through similar situations, and so I wrote some words of encouragement. Much to my suprise, she wrote back, and though I was not looking for a relationship at the time, my thought was, "Wow, this girl is pretty cool!"
We e-mailed back and forth, and ultimately talked on the phone. I thought to myself, I better not let this one go. We eventually got married, and I know that looking at that website that one day was the best thing I ever did. I am very lucky. I just wonder where the hell she was years ago!
After my first disaster, I never thought marriage would be this awesome. I am going to keep this one!!

Watching the World......Six got shocked
by SixofNine inwe have so much negative to say about the wt, that sometimes we forget to look for negative things to say about the world.
well sometimes it just reaches out and slaps you.. today a man made an offhand comment to me that has me fantisizing about murder.. i've been working on the exterior of a house for the past couple of days, and the woman next door, who comes out to her car every now and then for a ciggy, is, well, slammin.

Do all witnesses shun you?
by JH inthere are always a few tender hearted, who know that shunning is stupid and keep on talking to df'd people, when no one is looking.
are there still a few who keep on talking to you, even if you are df'd?
i'm sure that elders wouldn't shun you if you talk to them, so why do others have to shun you?
-

I am not df'd or da'd, so people will talk to me. I do associate with a df'd person, who I think is very grateful that I don't follow the WTS policies.

Boosting Attendance or Hunting Apostates?
by Elsewhere in.
recently, and reportedly in coming months, elders will be contacting inactive members.. it has been suggensted that their main objective is to hunt for apostates.. i'm inclined to think that "finding apostates" is just a side effect of their main objective, which is to boost meeting attendance.. any thoughts?
-
freedom96
I think that it just might be that they are looking for apostates. The fact is, never has it been available to find so much damning evidence as it is now. We can all sit at home behind the computer and find out what is really up. I think a lot more witnesses have looked at a site such as this than will openly admit it. So, with all the info so easily available, I think they are cracking down on the apostates.
