Yes, war sucks. No doubt about it. But what Saddam has done for years is worse, and now it will stop. Yes, millions now living will continue to live because Saddam will be removed from power.
a questions that has been on my mind for 20+ years that i have been away.. and more recently - a friend of my sons was killed.
he ask me "mom where are you going when you die?
" i am worried because if you die, i don't know where you are going.
I have seen from my own eyes, something from not of this world. Basically, a ghost. On many occasions, in the home I grew up with.
So, in my opinion, there is definately more to life than just here on earth as we know it. I believe that there is a heaven, but I don't believe in an eternal hellfire. Is there more to it than just heaven? Or what is heaven exactly? Don't know, but I know what I saw, and there is something else out there.

If myself or my family was in a situation where our lives were in danger, and it was between me and the potential killer, I would do whatever it took to save our lives.
Big difference in war, though, between killing the enemy, and flat out murder. Not even close to being the same.
I do think that many people come back from war, very changed. Going out and doing what they have to do has to take a toll on some of them.
on my wife's job, she is one of about 10 jw's employed there.
recently one of them found out the assistant manager (who never told anyone she was ever a jw) was raised a jw and has been disfellowshipped for the last 10 years.
needless to say this news spread quickly amongst the jw's there, and of course they all started shunning this person.
Another perfect example of how unloving the organization really is.

and do you think that the witnesses in general are just as devout today as they were 10 or 20 years ago?
I think how devout one is, is better measured individually. Some people have the extreme personality, and that will manifest itself in all areas of their lives, not just the witness doctrine.
But, still, it is easy to lump everyone together, and I would say that the younger generation is less devout, but again has much to do with their surroundings and sphere of influence.

When you consider the fact that in that picture are billions of solor systems, probably trillions of planets, each one unique, there is only one logical explanation. A greater being created them. Simple as that.

Too bad the person is too chicken sh*t to come forward and admit what they are doing. Obviously, they are a pathetic loser who must stand behind some elders for fear of the unknown if they were to admit it. They have no life, and also must have no brain, for with all the information given here, and they still believe it is the truth, they are a few screws short.
