Just curious, with all the internet bashing, etc, if a bethelite wanted to have internet access in their room, would it be allowed.
If so, I wonder if they monitor the activity?

can't you just feel it comming and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
look at all these threads on jwd and see the
look at all the new ones that are posting, and think of how many more are just lurking,,people very close to you are lurking,,, and as they learn more and more they are fumming at your gross lack of human kindness.
It would be very interesting to find out how many people in bethel have read stuff here and started to doubt, whether in secret or not.
it's almost time for their new show tonight 9pm cst.
i wonder if they will mention their ties to the jw's?
While they have a JW background, from what I have seen, they are nothing like the normal rank and file witness. I would be shocked if they did much personal study, or attended most, if any meetings, and I don't really see them going out in service.
I could be wrong..... but the things I have seen them do and act on tv etc, does not match with WTS requirements. If they are even baptized, in the hall I attended, they would have been df'd a long time ago.
well, in my case anyway.
for those of you that may recall my posts about my family and that after i left the wts, how i wrote long (and painful) letters to my nonjw children among others.
i had tried to explain why i had shunned them and how very sorry i was, and for all the mistakes i had made throughout their childhoods as a jw mother.
I am very happy for you that things are going better with you and your son. Cherish every moment!
let's face the facts about getting ready for a meeting to worship.
it takes up at least 15-20 minutes for a guy to get the 'dub look' on and maybe more for the girls.
do you think god really cares about how we look on the outside or is he more interested in what's on the inside?
The non-denominational church we attend has no dress code, and everyone genuinely appears to be happy to be there. Come as you are. Some dress up, most are casual, but you will see shorts, t-shirts etc.
Sounds like some copy-cat type of deal............
we just had the biggest thunderstorm pass over us in many years, and the "epicenter", if you can all it that, was right over my house!!!!!!!!.
any minute, i was expecting to get hit in the a$$ with a bolt of lightning, and lose whatever little hair i have left on my head, or anywhere else, for that matter.
so, i think that the safest place to be, is on the toilet.. that way, when a bolt of lightning hits right outside your bathroom window, you will be in the right place when you shit yourself !!
Last summer I was flying back to California from the east coast, and in the middle states, there was the wildest thunderstorm I have ever seen. There was actually two of them, and you could see very clearly. Awesome to see, didn't want to be anywhere near it though, so I was glad we turned away from it all. But from up in the sky, and see a storm where the lightening struck every couple of seconds....wow.
personally, i have nothing against executing wanton murderers.
Yeah, I can imagine the head rolling away after being cut off and looking back at his body and thinking to himself, "Well, this really sucks!"

How about we charge ring side tickets, or perhaps pay for view? Take that money and do something good with it.
I'll bet that there are a lot of people that would pay good money to see Scott Peterson get done in. Or a David Westerfield from San Diego who molested and killed his neighbor who was only 7?
I know that idea is a bit demented, and said with some humor, but in reality, people would do it. They absolutely would pay to see it.
Another point of keeping these guys in jail for so long. Look at Charles Manson. What good does he do sitting in prison? He offers nothing positive to anyone, will never get out, and if he did, he would kill again, without question. We spend way too much money on people like this. Take this money, put it towards education, health care, whatever.

When there is no question that the person is guilty, then I am all for it.
I will take it one step further.
I would allow the victims family do the deed, if they wish, in the same manner that they caused the murder.
For example, that wicked *itch who put her own two kids in the car, strapped them in, and then pushed them into the lake to drown.
I think that the father of the kids, or related family member, if they chose, could have the option to put her in the car, strap her in, and push the car into the lake as well.
Also, when it is a clear cut case, I think the execution should happen right away. No spending hundreds of thousands of $ to keep that person alive for 20 years. You did it? Its over.
