Fading is making me WT obsessed......................
by vitty inbecause i still want my family to speak to me, i decided to fade.
it was quite easy to do, i dont live near them so there was problem with meetings and field service.. the problem now is , after 3 years of fading, it having quite a detrimental effect on me.
i have said things to my family about the child abuse stuff , lack of love that sort of thing and they realize i dont go to meetings anymore but because i just cant leave it alone or keep my mouth shut, i end up talking about the org to them when i promise my self not to.

Help Needed on Problems with WTS
by WT=watchtrouble inhi everyone, hope this finds you all well!

i keep getting asked why i am no longer going but find it hard to have material to back up what i am saying.

You really don't need to explain why you are leaving. If any one asks just say you are taking a new path. If someone tries to get you to appear a committee just ignore it. Your best bet is to find a liberal Christian church and start going there. There is always the Unitarian Universal and other similar churches. Your best bet is to get involved in a new church and find out that there are other choices for you. IOW go church shopping for a few months.
Don't dwell too much on being an ex-JW and live your live because tomorrow you may no longer be here. I was involved in a charismatic Christian cult when I was 18 and the Pastor ended up being exposed as a fraud and that made me mad for about two years until I found a new church. Just be concerned about your relationship with God and don't worry about what others think then get some new friends.
In your community you will find other believers that will have struggles similar to yours and you will find jerks. When you meet a jerk just wipe their dust from your feet and keep on trucking.
Another thing is to forget everything you were ever taught about the bible by the JW's and read it by yourself everyday for the next year. That is what I did to get rid of the beliefs from the charismatic cult I belonged to.

Ex-Jehovah's Witness urges compulsory treatment
Updated Sat. Jun. 2 2007 8:43 PM ETCanadian Press
MONTREAL -- A former Jehovah's Witness, whose brother died after refusing blood transfusions, has collected 5,000 names on a petition which calls for doctors to be allowed to intervene medically regardless of the patient's religious beliefs.
Jonathan Lavoie says his brother died needlessly after refusing blood transfusions while being treated for an intestinal tumour.
Jean-Claude Lavoie, 26, a devout Witness, died last December.
Jonathan Lavoie, 32, says adults should be subject to the same rigorous judicial test that children go through before they can turn down a medical procedure based solely on religious beliefs.
"What I'd like to see is the laws changed so that doctors, when a person refuses a procedure for religious reasons -any religion -can still operate," says Lavoie, who hasn't decided when he'll give his petition to Quebec and federal politicians.

The Underbelly is exposed...........
by AK - Jeff inwhat proactive things have you done [or intend to do] to warn others about the cult you have escaped?
the unfortunate fact of life is that we tend to look only at our own personal benefits from leaving the cult if not careful.
or we give up after a failed attempt.

Well if the afterlife is like Eden don't forget that were all gonna be naked again and not be ashamed, so it won't be so bad.
