In ref. to child abuse
by jw in.
ok all time to get real.
child abuse is not limited to jw's.. if you truly want to stop child abuse first start with the family , and be honest we all have a relative that is a pedophile.. then protect your family from stranger danger.. don't just isolate to jw's.. expand and truly stop the child abuse world wide.

Hi everyone,
Just for the record, most homosexuals are NOT pedophiles. They have consenting sex with ADULTS. To assume that they are pedophiles is totally ridiculous and unfounded. There are much more married, straight men who are pedophiles, so lets get the facts correct.
As you can all see, trying to argue with someone like jw is totally pointless. That is why I for one refuse to even answer him any more. If we all band together and ignore him, maybe he will just go away. Let him go back to his so-called spiritual paradise and stay there if he is happy. He should not be here anyway since we are apostates.
So again, I say lets all SHUN him so he will go away. Anybody in?

Have you ever had a prayer answered?
by nicolaou inprayer topics seem to be the bandwagon of the moment so i'm jumping on!
seriously, has anyone here asked for something specific in prayer and actually gotten what they asked for?
what convinces you that you wouldn't have got it in any case?

Why do some believe in answered prayers when bad things happen?
Does believeing in answered prayers mean we will live on this earth;
without ever suffering evil, or having a loved one die, or experiencing pain?
No, it does not
Even God's prophets and Apostles along with many others who believed,
have died violent and even untimely deaths, some due to their faith in God,
Yet, they still believed in answered prayer
Because we believers know that unforseen occurances befall everyone the same,
the believer and the unbelievers alike, and we know this will continue,
But only for a little while longer;
Because although right now there is evil, due to Satan's influence in the world,
We still believe in answered prayer
Because we know that what happens to us in this life, is only temporary
And part of our faith is believing not just in prayer, but in ALL the promises of God
And he promises us, that one day we all will experience the REAL life with no more pain or sorrow
You may think us fools, but for some of us, our faith in prayer has kept us alive
because without it, having experienced some of the evil we have had to endure,
we would have ended our lives a long time ago
I thank God every day,
That in spite of this all and in spite of myself,
that I still believe in the power of prayer
Just wanted to share some of my thoughts. Lilly Cruz

Lady Liberty,
great point about the 144,000. There are been more martyrs who died thru-out history than 144,000. So that number has to be symbolic! Nowhere does Christ even mention that number. All those baptized into Christ are his true christians and have the opportunity to be with him.

whyizit,
You are right. Heaven is not limited to 144,000 for the bible clealy says that all who receive him (Jesus) he gave the right to become sons of God. There is no limit to that number. Therefore 144,000 could apply to something else. Some feel while all christians go to heaven only 144,000 get to sit on thrones and rule. I am not sure about the 144,000 except that I know it does not apply to the heaven bound.

VG,
Good question about what will happen to those not anointed. Gods plan is to save all mankind. Right now, he is only dealing with the anointed Christians who hope to be heavenly heirs with Christ in his kingdom. There is only the heavenly hope held out right now, in this current time period. Paul said our ministry was one of reconciliation. What does this mean? Those who are the church of Christ, which is literally millions of true believers not just 144,000 are in the new convenant and are reconciled to Christ now. This is why we partake because we are in the convenant. Our sins are blotted out and not held against us. Because we are believers now at this time. We believe although imperfect, living in Satans world and are surrounded by unbelievers. That is why our hope is greater also. To be belivers now, we can receive the heavenly hope, joint heirs in Christ. The Bible is written for those ones, who accept and are baptized into Christ. We know we were accepted by God by the given of Holy Spirit which helps us put on the new personality and cultivate the fruit of the spirit. We could not change into new creations without it. Now what about everyone else.
Well, only once the Kingdom is ruling, and satan is bound, and false religious institutions are removed, then all others not of the Christian believers will be given the opportunity to learn righteousness and bring themselves in line for the hope of living in peace on the earth. But this is not UNTIL Christ is reigning. Think about it; think how hard it is for many today to come to a full knowledge of God and follow Christ while dealing with so many things. Imperfections, emotional problems, false teachings, satan ruler of the earth. What kind of loving God would Jehovah be to say oh well, follow me anyway or I will destroy you? NO WAY! It is not in his nature. He said the ransom was for all and it is. Here are some scriptures.
Romans 5:11 - christians rejoice now because we are reconciled to God at this time
Romans 11:15 - The Jews were put into a spiritual darkness only for a time, this was to bring in the gentiles under the new convenant and eventually save all mankind. (this is the sacred secret)
2 Corinthians 5:11-18 - We Christians have a ministry not of doom and destruction but reconcilliation of the world. Christ has already reconcilled believers in him
2Corinthians 4:19 - God is reconcilling man to himself - although they do not know it yet.
Right now Christians only are on the narrow path which is heavenly. The narrow path or gate refers to Christ. So this scripture means the it is only for the heavenly. Compare this to the future when the Knowlege of God is given to everyone. Isaiah profhesied that therr will have a highway of holiness. This is a figurative illustration. Think how much easier it is to walk a highway then a narrow road? God is loving and plans to save all of mankind. That is the promise.
Here is one more text. 1 Corinthians 20-22. As in Adam all die, so in christ ALL shall be made alive, each in his due time. First Christs, then the firstfruits, then all those in him. We believers now are the firstfruits, the others will be in him when he comes to rule and they obey.
So you see rather than 99.9% being destroyed - 99.9% will live.
And that really is the Gospel or Good News about the kingdom! Hope this helps. Please email me if you want to know more or need more scriptual references. You can pm and then I will give my email box.

Would Jesus ?
by scrubmaster ini have been thinking about this for a while and while a lot of things posted here deal with directing at the wrong things in the org -- here is another way to look at things.
for those that do not believe in the bible or jesus -- this will not be relevant...... if jesus were here on the earth today in charge of the congregation - -would he give the elders a flock book and then tell them this is what is to be used, with out the friends knowledge when it came to judicial cases.
would he threaten ones who look at it?

No. Jesus would not have done any of that. That is why I left. Christ said "my sheep hear my voice and follow me". Once I really HEARD Christ, I followed.
