Good morning Randy,

First thing this morning I sent a message including the link for the press release to a few hundred people on my mailing list which includes friends in many countries! I told them if they cared about innocent children getting hurt, to please send it to everyone on their mailing list. So hopefully by the end of the day, thousands will have seen it just by one person sending it out.

I believe the Holy Spirit is Gods power in action also. Because I have experience this in my life. So I am not a true trinitarian although I do believe that in Nature, Jesus was Divine. Not that he was Jehovah. I found that many scriptures that were written in the OT and applied to Jehovah, have been used in the NT to apply to Jesus. Maybe because he is the only Son and Heir to Jehovah, and Jehovahs acting agent, that is why this is allowed? Also the bible says to honor the Son just like we Honor the father. I am still learning about Christ so I know I don't have all the answers. But one thing I do know is this: I had no idea who he really was until after leaving the WT completely.

Rather than argueing and quoting books, why not just use the bible because all the information is in there about who Jesus really is and what his life and ministry is about. I am always suspect with books because the author is always biased as to his personal belief. Anyway, I did enjoy your comments and amazings too. Lilly

Was Christ Divine?

Here is some evidence from the Bible that seems to support the Divinity of Christ. This is not the same as saying that Christ is Jehovah. They are not the same person, but the texts here seem to be saying they are the same in Nature. Scriptures are taken from the NIV Bible unless otherwise noted.

John Chapter 1.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God*. 2 He was with God in the Beginning.

14 The Word became flesh* and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only

The word flesh here is also translated human.
When it says the word “was God”, it is the same as saying was divine in nature, John did not think Jesus was Jehovah

John 5:18

For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but also, he was even Calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

John 5:18 (New King James Version)

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God Was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

Here the Jews knew that by saying he Gods son, Jesus was saying he was equal in Nature to God

ok, this is gross.. i use to work in a restaurant in fl.

this lady use to come in that we called poopy pants.

(not to her face) anyway, she would sit, eat, and go to the bathroom like clockwork.

Hey everyone,

These stories and things written on bathroom walls, would make a great book idea. One of those joke books you read in the crapper?

We always make fun of my hubby because I swear you need a gas mask when he is a pooping. Now, I know it is not supposed to smell like roses but...Whew!!!! my kids got him a funny book about what else "poop". It gives each type of poop a name like the torpedo, the plopper, the big dropper, etc. Then goes into full detail describing why each one is named the way it is. it is so funny. We leave it in the bathroom for guests to read.

When you left the JWs did you keep their publications?

i threw everything away except the bible (which i now know is crap), the songbook and reasoning from the scriptures ( to use against them... primarily the conversation stopper part).

so many posters seem be able to access jw info easily and quote it... i wonder if i should have kept everything.

at the time, it was a way to start over and commit to never going back.

I kept the bible, reasoning book, greek interlinear translation book, and the CD ROM. The rest I threw in the trash including the MOUNTAINS of past years magazines from the shed. You know the ones you never hand out and have stored all over the house because you think it is a sin to thrown them away?

Dear VG,

I hope I did help in some small way. Jehovah sent his son to help reconcile us back to God. He wants to make everything right, not destroy everyone in the process.

Christ came to teach us the truth about God and offered any that wanted to follow him the chance to do so. He did not do this with fear and chastisement nor threatened to destroy those who wished to take a different path in life. What he taught came do be known as the Christian faith which there are millions of believers in this. The only simple requirements is to believe Christ was the Son of God and he died for our sins and that on the third day, he was raised to life again. That is basically all of it in a nutshell. He did away with the old ways and for those who believe, we are already reconciled back to God by way of the New Covenant. Our faith in Christ justifies us. We do not need any other rules and regulations. That is how really simple it is. If you accept this, and are baptized into christ, you are a true believer. You will recieve the promise of the Holy Spirit to help guide you but are under the yoke of man no more.

It is man in his thirst for Greed and want to dominate his fellow man that created Religion. And he is the one that set up all the rules, doctrines, and other regulations. And used fear to keep them in line. Not Christ, not Jehovah. Christ said we shall all one day "worship in spirit and truth". And "where two or more are gathered in my name, I am there". You don't need a building, a creed, or any doctrines written in stone. No wonder Jesus was hated by the religous leaders. They lost all their power over the ones who put faith in Christ and his simple way.

When you truly know that you don't need all that and you are already justified by faith - your life becomes much simpler. And you are totally free! Besides those few things, you are free to worship in your own way. Think about it: Christ said my "yoke is kindly and light", and he meant it. My honest prayer for the future is that all people will be released from false religious institutions that mislead, dominate and abuse them. And I know this is one prayer that will come true. how many jws did you convert to being ex jws or interested persons to being uninterested in the wts?

When I left, I convinced my hubby to leave too. My kids who are still young left also, even though they were both unbaptized publishers. And then I convinced all my bible studies (5) to quit and go to Jesus instead.

By the way, now we really study the bible together.
