That is horrible!!! My mother was recently told by a brother that the new system will be blessed with strong sisters like her to take care of others. (They'll be strong because they'll be perfect--but to take care of others.) The nerve of some people...but this is God's organization. If it is I don't want any parts of it.

People whom had a spouse pass away, and were married again within 6 months????????? wtf? We had a couple of those.
Elders included. CO's too. What's up with that?!!!

Does anyone remember the "jerry curl?" Well this sister had one and we were whispering and writing notes as to what moisterizing lotion she should use. An elder was peeking over our shoulders as we were doing this and after the meeting he told our parents that we were talking about a boy named "Jerry." He was so busted when we took out our note and it was totally about hair. It was funny and you should've seen his face. I laugh with my mother everytime I think about it now.
well, we're back guys!
we really miss our hotel, wished we could stay 1 week longer!
we had a great time together, despite of a few design flaws in our handicapped designed room (my wife is a double amputee).

my friend whos faded and i were talking and he said an uncle of his whos a witness told him a story about a bunch of witnesses getting on a boat a long time ago because they believed armegeddon was coming, and when it didn't come they came back ashore.
does anybody here know anything about this????

this week there was a obituary of an elder i knew when i was a witty.
he had several children and a wife.
the obit didn't say anything accept: "so and so died after a lengthy illness, he was member of the jehovah's witnesses.
Not very caring or christian like. I agree, but unless the family is pretty popular or well to do...they don't say too much. How pathetic.

Don't worry... when I first came across "lol" I thought it meant "lots of love".
When I was a teenager my friends and I used to write letters to each other. At the end of the letter we would write: lol: lots of love and bff: best friends forever.
if the elders came and inspected your home - what would they find?.
a casual look around reveals a box of "narnia" tissues on my desk, 12 or 14 non-witness translations of bibles on my shelves, many non approved novels [wifey's] on the reading table, plenty of 'apostate literature', a book or two on meditation, a hypnosis cd for weight loss, prob many toys that are not witness approved in the g-kids room, a half eaten birthday cake, a birthday balloon, xmas wrapping paper in the closet , a couple of r rated movies, music that is not acceptable.. that is just at first blush.

They would find printed pages that I've been reading from some other sites...my computer has a password so they can't access it. I've had a couple of ms try when visiting my children but to their suprise they could not gain access. Dummies...that's private property anyway and without my permission they shouldn't be touching it.

i watched a history channel show re: the antichrist.
very interesting with different perspectives for the books of daniel and revelations.
one thing that really got me thinking...the book of revelations--they state that it may symbolize things that were happening during that period of time...not things to come.
