HELL EXPLAINED BY A CHEMISTRY STUDENT:
>> T he following is an actual question given on a University of
>> Washington chemistry mid-term
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared
>> it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now
>> have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic
>> (absorbs heat)?
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law
>> (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some
>> variant.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> One student, however, wrote the following:
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So
>> we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the
>> rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume
>> that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering
>> Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world
>> today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of
>> their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of
>> these religions and since people do not belong to more than one
>> religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of
>> souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of
>> change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order
>> for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume
>> of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> This gives two possibilities:
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls
>> enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase
>> until all Hell breaks loose.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls
>> in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell
>> freezes over.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> So which is it?
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman
>> year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,"
>> and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then
>> number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic
>> and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that
>> since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any
>> more souls and is therefore, extinct... leaving only Heaven, thereby
>> proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last
>> night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A."

Are fractions also covered by the command to abstain from blood? We cannot say. The Bible does not give specific direction on the subject of fractions.*
So how can they conclude that we should abstain from blood if blood comes from combined fractions? They are very confused and so was I for a long time.

AT 1:26PM FRIDAY OUR DAUGHTER WAS BORN!!!
by Es inwell its all happend, got to the hosp early friday morning, had my waters broken at around 7:30am had to wait for an hour and a half to see if labour would begin naturally, it didnt so at 9am i was hooked up to the drip, man that was intense, put it to you this way, blakes labour was about 8 hours all up kaia's labour was 3 hours and i would rather go through the 8 hour one anyday.. it was a very short labour, kaia was born a bit shocked as it happend so fast so she was rushed up to nursery for a bit as she was purple and not breathing properly but after an hour on oxygen she was fine, me on the other hand had to be stitched up coz pushing a 9 pound 1 baby out naturally with no drugs does damage heheh, then i had to be hooked up to a drip for 4 hours as i lost a bit of blood.
but once we were all sorted it was all good.
she is doing so well we are at home now, she is beautiful and very content.

Why is the Watchtower Society so cruel to teens?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy mom just informed me that a 17 year old has been disfellowshipped at her hall.at least 7 others have been kicked out within the last 5 years.the publisher count is only 56 .why do they let the teens get baptized so young?
i was 14 and only got baptized because of pressure and the end was coming.if you weren't baptized you would be destroyed.. why don't they wait until everyone is at leat 21?
all these teens haven't come back and you won't ever see them unless they return.i haven't seen my cousin in over 2 years.no one went to his wedding, isn't invited to any family functions and is to be avoided at all costs.. the watchtower society should be ashamed that they act that way and the parents let them get away with it..

And they speak against baptizing infants! I was 13 when I was baptized and that was because of peer pressure. I now wish that I never got baptized...didn't understand the implications of it. When I was still attending the meetings they would pressure my teenage kids to consider baptism. I never encouraged it...I know what I went through. I want my kids to make their own decisions...mature decisions.
It is mind control. I do remember some that were not baptized got disassociated instead.

3 Salvation Concepts
by Amazing inif salvation could be compared to trying to get from los angeles to santa catalina island (about 20 miles out in the pacific) and you could not take a plane, helicopter, or take a boat, but you could only try to jump or swim, then salvation might look like this:.
the typical protestant view of salvation: no matter how strong you are, or how well you can make the long jumps, no one can jump 20 miles.
jesus died and made the jump for you so that you do not have to jump in the first place.

The subject of the Sunday talk was about the great crowd surviving Armagedden (based on how they lived their life before) and how after 1,000 years would be tested again. The bright light hit me: WHY should I have to be tested again when I went thru hell surviving Armageddon, proved my integrity only to be tested again? How FAIR is this? The so called annointed only had to prove themselves once. The topic of being tested and re-tested just doesn't make any sense to me.
I asked a sister that one time. What sense does it make to make it through Armagedden to be tested again and fail? I told her that I did not want to go through it again. She said "well think of it this way...you'll be perfect" -- my answer to her: Adam and Eve were perfect. No comment.

Pat Robertson says god's name is "jehover"

- [Matthias is about to be stoned to death]
- Matthias: Look, I don't think it ought to be blasphemy, just for saying "Jehovah".
- [Everyone gasps]
- Jewish Official: You're only making it worse for yourself!
- Matthias: Making it worse?! How can it be worse? Jehovah! Jehovah! Jehovah!
- Jewish Official: I'm warning you. If you say 'Jehovah' once more--
- [Mrs. A. throws a rock at the Jewish Official]
- Jewish Official: Right. Who threw that? Come on. Who threw that?
- Crowd: She did! It was her! [suddenly speaking as men] He! He. Him. Him. Him. Him. Him. Him. (Because, you know, women weren't allowed at stonings, I suppose.)
- Jewish Official: Was it you?
- Mrs. A.: Yes.
- Jewish Official: Right...
- Mrs. A.: Well, you did say 'Jehovah.'
- Crowd: Ah! Ooh!...
- [Crowd throws rocks at Mrs. A.]
- Jewish Official: Stop! Stop, will you?! Stop that! Stop it! Now, look! No one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle! Do you understand?! Even, and I want to make this absolutely clear... ... even if they do say 'Jehovah.'
- Crowd: Ooh...!
- [Jewish Official gets stoned to death]
reminds me of an outline for a talk for sisters...

Amy Grant has a song on one of her cds entitled "Jehovah
I used to think that that song was something because a "worldly" person was singing about Jehovah. My sister belongs to a church and also confirmed that they say Jehovah periodically.

Luke 6:38 --- What is the JW way of giving in your opinion...
by tan inluke 6:38: give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
fieldservice or a bible study...or maybe they (in my past experience) give to a selected candidate as long as that person comes to the hall on a regular.
when do they actually give like normal people give.
-
tan
We did likewise. What brought up this question or statement was the website of Paulawhite.org. She's preparing things for Thanksgiving. Just made me think of what the JW's actually call giving or helping. (Some of them.) Maybe they are just modest in giving and keep it quiet. In my personal experience I only noticed them giving to certain ones or expecting something in return. Some actually gave from their heart, though. My mother was one of them.
