  I'm done debating 9/11 with whacked-out conspiracy theorist honey-crusted nutjobs. There's no point--not only is it impossible to deprogram a conspiracy theorist believer (and we get a lot of them on here, the Witnesses are a fertile ground for conspiracy theories) but I also have this little objection to casting pearls before swine.
  
  I leave that task to others who have a greater capacity for suppressing their gag reflex.

  I'd like to stress that, while I think it's possible and even likely that intelligent alien life exists elsewhere in this vast infinite universe, I don't believe in UFOs. :)

  I would s__t myself, I seriously would. I can't think of anything more terrifying.
  
  A few months ago I posted a review on Amazon.com under my real name. It was of a book that most Witnesses would consider inappropriate for "Christians," nothing "apostate" or anything, but still not sanctioned.
  
  A couple weeks later this elder came up to me and mentioned that he'd read the review I posted on the internet. I was like, "what???" After I realized what he was talking about I went out and obscured the review in such a way that it still had the same name on it, but was obviously not me.
  
  It was freaky, though, realizing that an elder had gone out and googled me by my real name. I've been inactive for almost a year, what was he hoping to find? Apostate rants under my own RL name?

  As a huge scifi fan, I have always enjoyed playing with the idea that God and all other spirit creatures were alien entities. Reading the Bible in that light is great fun.

  i was born in the 70's, grew up during the 80's, was a young adult during the 90's.

  i was born into the witnesses and attended meetings that whole time.

  i am still attending meetings, in fact, for my wife's sake.

  Thanks yadda, at this point I'm going to go with "I never noticed before." Either more maturity from becoming an adult, or having my eyes opened by learning to trust myself to think for myself, has made the control issues more clear to me.

  i was talking to a friend yesterday whose sister and brother-in-law have been at bethel for three decades at least, working in important departments that put them in contact with the writing dept., gov.

  body, etc.

  on a daily basis.. this friend of mine has been a witness for half a century, and has been fading for the past 3-4 years.

  The funny (sad) part is that the WTS uses that very scripture to try and convince the rank and file that what is being asked of them really isn't that big a deal, that it CAN'T be, because Jesus' load is light, right? So if you don't think it's light, there is something wrong with you. Maybe you're not praying, studying, and answering at meetings enough. Maybe you don't trust Jehovah enough.

  to learn that the jw is fine with having blood fractions from someone else's blood.. .

  There's a saying in the gaming culture. Someone in a forum will make an outlandish claim about their gaming prowess. Someone else will say "screenshots or it didn't happen." In other words, let's see the proof.
  
  In this case, I believe that 5go heard what was heard. But I don't believe it's official. Unless you see it in black and white in an official publication, or unless SEVERAL people, preferably from different countries, report circuit overseers saying it in their talks (indicating that it's part of the CO's Brooklyn-assigned material), it's not real.
