  i'm a newby here and was wondering the % of christians vs. .

  non.rough estimate fine.

  i sure like the comradery here for ex"s. but wonder why so many here leave their belief in god altogether.. what is it that caused disbelief?

  I think that the Apostle Peter was the last true Christian.
  I believe in the historical Jesus, but not necessarily the divine one. I think he had some great ideas. I think that if everyone followed his ideas (and only his ideas, not all the Judaic BS that preceded him and which his servants later reinstituted after he died) the world would be a better place. I aspire to the ideal he represents.
  Nevertheless I feel the same way about Ghandi, and William Tyndale, and Nelson Mandela, and the Dalai Lama.

  Once, while on a family vacation (towing a trailer), we had the option of parking in a church parking lot, because all the campgrounds were full. My mother refused because she was afraid we'd be attacked be demons if we spent the night in the shadow of that big ol' demon house. We ended up parking in a rest area 40 miles down the road.

  When I was a little boy, my mother told me that the Dinosaurs outlived their usefulness. They were used, she said, to keep the vegetation in check, to keep it from taking over the whole earth. Then God allowed the dinosaurs to die in the flood.
