Am I the only one wondering if the author's leg was being pulled? As soon as the "differences" are studied won't that highlight the changes? Isn't it better for the Borg to just let it all come to pass, unnoticed and not cared about or perhaps even read. Even if those with the old Revelation books have to trade them in or they are banned from the meetings if they hold out, this will only highlight those very things those of us no longer in the Collective already know. Simply that it constantly changes, and is passed off as new light, and when you are still in duped-mode it's no big deal. So why draw attention to it, it will go away. But on the other hand I hope it is a WTS worldwide requirement, that'll wake up a few honest souls. Glen

There *IS* a New Revelation Book!!!
by OpposerSupreme inyes, the km lists the changes, but i went to service meeting last night, played dumb, and asked the lit servant what book would be studied when the bible/teach book is finished...
i now have a new, crappy, perfect-bound softcover copy of the "2006 printing" of the revelation book--not "revision", not "revised edition", but "printing".
the gall of these arrogant sacks at bethel, i tell ya....my housemate and i spent about two hours going through the old and the new side-by-side and, thus far, have found several flubs that contradict the changes made in the new book whilst leaving others on the same topics undone elsewhere.

How many 'real" friends did you ever really have in ther "truth'
by The Lone Ranger insure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?
a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.
i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.

I lost all my friends when I became a JW, with the exception of about 6 old friends from primary school in the UK who I stayed in touch with - but I now had the worldwide brotherhood of "true" friends.
Then when I left the JW's I lost all those "friends" - every single one of them, as their friendship was totally conditional on me staying a JW. Now I have a few good friends, and a fair number of decent acquaintences.
My advice to anyone thinking of leaving:
Start by living a double life, make plenty of decent "worldly" friends, then leave and you'll have a cushion of friends to fall on when the brethren inevitably let you down.

NEW Interview with Bill Bowen of Silentlambs on recent events
by Dogpatch inthe last interview i did with bill bowen was in april of 2003, and new things have happened regarding the pedophile issues in the watchtower's corrupt system led by ted jaracz and his corporate cronies.
some things are the same (mainly wt policies), and others have changed.
it took 10 years to develop some legal precendents to be laid down in order for lawsuits against the catholic priest pedophiles to move ahead, and some important legal precedents have now been established in court so as to pave the road for effective lawsuits against the watchtower leaders for their complicity in allowing pedophiles to remain in the congregations in good standing, some even as elders.

Wow, indeed. Thanks Randy!
Do you know what percentage of "judicial cases" get summarized in a self-incriminating report and sent to the WTS for the gnomes in Brooklyn to read, thus breaking their "ecclesiastical privilege?

PO said automation and declining contributions reason for Bethel layoffs
by truthseeker inlast week at the meeting, the po, who has very close connections to bethel, said that he never thought he would see the day that bethelites were being sent home.
he said that the biggest two reasons he thought bethel were cutting back, was automation and a massive decline in contributions.
looks like you're right metatron about the contribution aspect being their achilles heel.

The contribution thing is not surprising. When I was borg I was the accounts servant at the time of the change in the donation policy, the one to dodge sales taxes (and there isn't any in the great state of Oregon!). I recall I had a part on it, I think I even brought out a large pad, easel and markers to explain the math. I was a company man then! I concluded that the monthly contributions to the WTS for the literature were running about 60% of the monthly depletions from inventory. I literally calculated this, as I had the records, and hell I'm an accountant by trade. Anyway, I was deleted (for self-induced drunken stupor, totally unrelated, much later) and I only had that gig for three years. In that period (92?-94) I would imagine the monthly income for congo literature vs the cost of literature "sold" went to down 50%. An accts dude more recent than 1994 would be able to provide that math. Even with slave labor to manufacture and deliver, the hard cost must now triple what it was in 1994. Look at the cost of utilities, paper and fuel going up in the last 10 years. Not to mention the lawsuits. They'll need to liquidate some of that nice property in Brooklyn. Bet they are glad they are real estate rich, shame their adherents aren't.

A funny thing happened on the way to Costco
by Deleted inthe last elder to come by and see us was perhaps one of the few true christians in the congo (perhaps because he partook).
well, we were off to costco yesterday and stopped at wendy's in clackamas for lunch and lo and behold there he was having lunch with his wife.
almost the first words out of his mouth were "the church group in estacada has gone".

Robdar, I should have written it as "slave name". It's my own way of saying that I took on a name that wasn't mine due to the organization that changed my life. When it was announced (many years ago now) that "Glen James has been deleted as a ministerial servant" I chose to pick that up as a self-deprecating monicker when I was posting on the support4xjws and H20 boards. Almost the first words out of his mouth were "The church group in Estacada has gone". Well, I thought he meant he went aposto, but what he was trying to say was that the two elders (schooled in 1950's JWness) that controlled the place had been ousted from their positions of authority and 3 elders were moved in to get it straightened out.
One of the last things I had said to him, and presumably what he had remembered, was that I had considered that faction to be pharisaic and operated like a church and I wanted nothing to do with it. I think he wanted me to know this in case it was enough of a change for me to come back. It would take more than hell to freeze over before that could happen but it was nice to see that the SOB who gave me my slave name (Deleted) was defrocked. I had volunteered to step down using immoderate drinking as an excuse but was Deleted instead. What goes around comes around!

Court Cases vs Greg Stafford
by Deleted inmy it''s been a busy busy week at aposto-central!
i'll have to see what the local papers have about the marion county case.
and then you have poor ol' greg stafford returning to "it".

My it''s been a busy busy week at Aposto-Central!I'll have to see what the local papers have about the Marion County case. And then you have poor ol' Greg Stafford returning to "it". It is sad how losing friends and family is the lot of all who speak against Mother. Couple that with his continued belief in Satan, afterall this is his system the rest of us live in, and what choice does he have? He has to go back.
I am sorry that the young fellow down in Salem went through what he did. That happended in a neighboring congo where a 8 year old girl was molested by a 16 year old boy. So the boy's family just moved, into the congo to the west, ours, and with no warning to the families in the new kh! I recall a couple who had family in the other congo and knew about it were livid. Now that's criminal. And that's WTS policy.
Very best wishes to those of you who are putting your necks on the line to make known the truth.

Another lawsuit... this one in Oregon.
by Elsewhere incomplaint: negligence, breach of confidential relationship, intentional infliction of severe emotional distress.
once again the elders appointed a convicted and confessed child molester to a position of responsibility as an officer and ministerial servant of the congregation.
this time the accused name is jerry anderson crabb of the lancaster congregation of jehovah's witnesses - 4795 macleay road se, salem, or 97301. sadly, as one would expect, he has been accused of sexually abusing a child on multiple occasions.

Gregg Stafford returning to the Big O
by Amazing ingreg stafford posted on july 1, 2006 that he is returning to the organization.
you can read his article at: http://www.elihubooks.com/greg-stafford/another.htm.
his rationale and logic are most interesting.

Hmm. I never read much of his stuff. So this is presumption on my part.
He lost his friends and family, and nothing replaced it. And he still must believe in Satan, so he has to go back.
I wish him well.
