  january 5 2007 marks the 8th anniversary of the date i attribute to my leaving the jehovahs witnesses.

  one of my mates from grade/high school married a woman who became a jw, who witnessed to me in 1980 and in turn i became a jw (1981-1998).

  i left, she didn't, and she never spoke to me again.

  i have recently rekindled my friendship with my old schoolfriend.

  A funny thing happened on the way to Costco

  the last elder to come by and see us was perhaps one of the few true christians in the congo (perhaps because he partook).

  well, we were off to costco yesterday and stopped at wendy's in clackamas for lunch and lo and behold there he was having lunch with his wife.

  almost the first words out of his mouth were "the church group in estacada has gone".

  Congratulations (belated) to Randy Watters on reaching 2 million!

  when i was in nyc in spiring of 1999 (there on biz) i asked a bethelite friend who was the biggest pain to the wts and he said randy watters and his bethel ministries.

  i flew home to oregon and i read everything on randy at www.freeminds.org (watchers of the watchtower world).

  truly a life saver for me and my family!
