The background really gives a better inpact! I think it would be good to show both pictures. WT building and half way through Patterson or the other way around!

I agree with purps. An active jw wouldn't dear to do that or believe the brothers would buy and wear t-shirts saying: Future elder, pioneer... lol, I'd love to see one do that and go to a convention! :-)

since they are not omnipresent and can't be at every meeting, how can it be said that by not attending meetings jws are "snubbing them"?.

Trevor, thanks for the scriptural clarification. You are right! I was reflecting back how I may have tried to answer as a jw. I hope some jws may read this and the many other threads. As a last resort the dubs are “trained” to say “that was old light!” or “the brooklyn brothers dont claim to be perfect!”. To me invisibly present clearly means in person! fts

First "Big Meeting" for our hall was tonight
by Iwonder17 inso we hadour first big meeting tonigh ( bookstudy, ministry school and service meeting ) here are my observations:.
1) even though it is the same amount of time, it seemed verrrrry long.
2) it seemed like a circus.....too many parts that did not relate to the others....seemed like a crossword puzzel with 6 different languages.

As a jw I would try to explain the invisible presents like this: Just like jesus is invisibly ruling since 1914 by turning his attention towards the earth so too jah and jesus are invisibly present at meetings in that they are attentive to what is said and done. Remember, going to the kh is like going to jahs house, what the speaker says is coming from jah! The invitation and admonishment comes directly from jah and his son. Apostates do everything they can in order to ridicule and poison healthy and wholesome spiritual food...

Why I suspect most people do not really believe in god
by Elsewhere ingrowing up as a jw i never really believed in god.
i thought everyone else didn't really believe either.
when some sort of religious activity or speak was going on i was just pretending and i thought everyone else was pretending too.

I grow up believing in god. When I left the org I still believed in the bible and god. But one of the many eye-openers was, when I received more assignments in the hall, like looking after the sound system sitting right in the back of the hall. I could see the elders and MS using all the songs, not to sing praises to jabba, but to hastily get things organized (microphones, platform, delegating and other elderstuff). They actually managed to stand still and stop conversing during the prayer (-not always though!). Even then -as a jw- I though, the brothers worship jehovah and the elders and “half-elders” work for him!! Little did I know, jah and jesus work for the GB. fts
